- Start by feeding your pet a mix of 25% new food and 75% old food for the first few days.
- Then, increase the amount of new food to about 50% and feed that half-and-half mix for a few days.
- Proceed to feeding 75% new food/25% old food for the next few days.
- Complete the transition by feeding just the new food on its own.

I'm impressed with the clean ingredient list of this kibble. So many pet foods have chicken meal or corn as the primary ingredient, but real chicken is the very first ingredient and it's free of the fillers that offer little nutritive value and can trigger allergies in my pups. My dogs loved it so much, I even gave some to my cats and they loved it, too. It was very cute. Of course, they require the nutriton only cat food can provide them, but it was a nice treat. I trust the manufacturer, Nutrena, and for years have used many of their poultry products for my flocks. Overall, this food was a hit with my dogs and I had no qualms with any of the ingredients, which doesn't happen often.

I started adding this Nutrena Loyall Life Healthy Digestion food into my dogs’ regular meals, and they’ve been eating it down every time. I mix it in with their other food, and they go right for it without picking around anything. The chicken and rice recipe seems gentle on their stomachs, and the smell is mild, which I appreciate. The kibble size works well for all of my dogs, and it blends easily into their usual food. So far, it’s been a good option for digestion support and something they genuinely enjoy.

My dog loves this food. I was shocked how he really wanted it. He did the same with the salmon formula. The pieves are small enough for him as he is a shihtu but you can always put a little water on the kiblle to make the food moust. He bypassed his normal kibble for this and wanted more. You have to be careful when switching food. Only give 25 perc of new food mixed with old for a few days then go to 50 perc and so on to prevent tummy upset.

No soy, wheat, corn or by products. Giving a 5 start review. If things chance I will change my review. Since its to soon to tell how he will react to the food. He may like it today and next week refuse to eat it. Hes picky like that.

Unfortunately, we weren't able to keep my dog on this food long enough to see any long-term changes in areas like coat condition, digestion, or overall health as that can take months. Based on our short experience, it appears to be a good-quality food, but I can't fully speak to its long-term benefits.

The bag is pretty durable, even with the shipping box being kinda torn up upon arrival, the bag was still sealed. I do wish this bag had a zip on it so it could reseal to keep freshness.
