I tried the Nutramax Imuquin with Beta Glucans for my elderly cat and she liked it. She takes three different medications so taking care of her immune system is important. Only time will tell if she will get better but for the few days she has been getting Nutramax Imuquin seems is doing ok. I emptied the capsule on top of her favorite wet food and mixed it. She eats it all. I think having the presentation on a capsule it’s convenient and easy to administer. Just sprinkle it on food and that’s all. I will definitely include Nutramax Imuquin on my next autoship to keep with the treatment.

When I ordered these it was because my cats meow was gone and I was scared but within the 12 hours of giving these to him he was all better and acting like his noisy self! I also asked Chewy if they do expedite shipping but unfortunately they don’t but when I talked to customer service they were so helpful and apologetic for not having that option. And 2 days later I get a package from them with a nice letter and some cool catnip toys for Draco! Thank you so much Chewy!

I absolutely LOVED the old Imuquin. The cats ate their food well, and it did a terrific job boosting my 20-year-old cat's immune system. This new formulation, though, tastes different. The cat is not eating her food as well, so she isn't getting as much benefit. She eats the morning dish - that doesn't contain Imuquin- just fine. But regardless of which food is offered, she is eating less of the food containing this new Imuquin formulation. In the past, I would give any leftover food to the dogs to eat, but they avoid the Imuquin-containing food now. It has only been a couple of weeks, so I hope they all get used to it, but in the meantime, it is less effective for my cat because she won't eat as much of it.

Not working like the old stuff

My vet had recommended this for my cat who has been dealing with skin issues. I was buying the packets (white powder) and it seemed to make a difference. The listing I was buying from had both packets and capsules (orange powder) listed and it looked to me like it was the same thing. I was confused that the powder looked different, but I figured it wouldn’t make a difference. My girl’s issues got WAY worse. She wasn’t just clawing up her face like before, she had bare patches on her tummy, feet, and little bum. I took her off and she has gotten 1000 times better and not even had issues since. I think it’s partly my fault for not realizing the formula changed, but the fact that she got worse on this is concerning.

New Formula is not as advertised

I've been ordering Imuquin for one of our cats who is "sickly" to boost her immune system. She could feel the difference in her when she was taking the powder version which has the beta-glucans, marine lipids, and NMX580 nutrients. I would have given the old formula 5 stars. The new version only has yeast extract and astaxanthin. She refused it and her sister who usually eats everything and enjoyed a lick of the old formula mixed with treats, also refused the new formula when I offered to her. Chewy should update the product description of this new formula for cats since it's no longer accurate.

My cat, who is FIV+, has been given Imuquin for almost a year. Recently I ordered the new formula. For days, she had been acting weird about her food. She would eat it for 2 minutes and then take a break. She was also showing signs of nausea and stomach issues. After ruling out several components, I've learned it is the Imuquin causing her GI upset. It happens almost immediately after eating her food. Even as she eats she eats super slow and looks hesitant (which is unlike her since she typically scarfs down her food). I'm not sure what changed. I loved the old formula but unfortunately I'll be throwing the new one out.

Great for my FIV cat

I am sad to see that this is being discontinued when I went to look at my auto ship today. I’m hoping it is just getting new packaging or something. My cat has FIV and this helps him a lot with his allergies. I can see the difference if I don’t give it to him one day he gets really sneezy. I used to compound medications and we would use a wetting agent before mixing powders into a cream, so a little trick I use is I take the packet empty it on a plate mix it with a little water and then mix it into Mr. Claws wet food this way it’s not all gritty in his food.

Miracle Product

I picked up a stray who had a severe upper respiratory illness among other things. I gave it to her for a little while as recommended by my vet, and it really helped. So I stopped giving it when she got better, but later on she started sneezing again. She had mucus coming out of her nose like long snails. I started the Imuquin again, and within a matter of days it was gone. Since she’s had a hard time getting over all types of illnesses, including a UTI, pancreatitis, worms and parasites, snd now that she’s well, I have kept her on this medicine all winter long to keep her healthy. At first, i sprinkled it on her dry food, but to ensure that she got a good dosage I’ve now started mixing it with Churu snacks. I don’t feed my cats wet food anymore because it causes diarrhea so I split a pack between my two cats and give it to them every morning this last winter. My older cat is 13 and has feline herpes. We had been giving her lysine but it stopped working on her weepy eye. This helps some too, but with her being so old, it’s just good for her immune system. I’ll probably stop for a little while in the spring unless it seems that they both start sneezing and I’ll start again as needed. Not sure if I should continue it indefinitely or use just as needed. I highly recommend this product.

Chewy was out of stock of Oliver's vitamins Huggables. Not sure on how I got to chat with Dr. Sonja. Told her we were given Ollie L-lysine and what would be a good supplement with him having FIV! She highly recommended Imuquin. She went on to explain the benefits of Imuquin! Well I took a phone screen shots of our chat. I liked what I heard and saw upon research afterwards. Emailed our chat and asked our Vet to way in! Our vet touted Dr. Sonja sediments on replacing our L-lysine and the Huggable immune support. Dr. Sonja also told ne that recent studies showed the beneficial performance of Imuquin. So we tried it. We definitely like that we are using one supplement in his food. Now the watch out part! Ollie was always a good eater, but now his appetite is off the charts. Eating the same times but double the amount!!! Oh well. We say if you have an Fiv cat get it!!! It also mixes some what better than L-lysine. Thanks for reading.

One of my kitties, Finnegan, has food sensitivities and multiple health issues including herpes flareups causing eye discharge. I split a packet of Imuquin, mixed with canned pumpkin puree twice daily to keep his symptoms at bay. Works great! I just wish their packaging was less wasteful. They recently changed the packaging to bigger packets (same amount of supplement). Seems like they could offer this supplement loose in a recyclable tub with a small scoop at a lower price point? It adds up quickly if you need it for more than one cat.
