I recently adopted an adult Cavalier King Charles dog who had major "scooting" issues as his glands were not emptying properly. After a few times expressing at the vet, as well as using a competitor's supplement without much success, we tried Filaquin, which I had not been aware of before. This was exactly what we needed. It worked perfectly! Our other dog has used a liver supplement for years, also made by Nutramax, the manufacturer of Filaquin. That gave me confidence to try it. The price is very good for the quantity received, and the product contains healthy ingredients such as psyllium husk, apple fiber, and pre and postbiotics. The flavoring is roasted peanut, which was not his favorite initially, but he is used to it now, and happily eats it. This soft chew is also scored, so is easy to break in half for feeding, or for measuring. It comes in a 90 chew easy close bag, which is helpful. I very happily recommend this product to others.

I can’t say enough good things about these soft chews! My dog absolutely loves the taste, so there’s no struggle at all to get her to take them. I also love that they’re made by Nutramax, a brand I already trust for quality and science-backed supplements. The chews are soft, easy to break apart, and gentle on her stomach. It’s such a relief to have found something that really works. My dog is clearly more comfortable and happy and I’m happy not having to worry about these issues anymore. Highly recommend this to any dog parent dealing with the same problem!

I don't know what's going on with this product. The first two orders were fine. No strong unpleasant odor. Next two orders, unpleasant odor that can be smelled through the bag. I was afraid it might make my dogs sick and decided not to give it to them. I contacted Nutramax and spoke to CS. She was going to file a report and email me the report number. But I've never heard back. Chewy rep was wonderful...had me return the smelly Filaquin and refunded my money. I decided to try Filaquin one more time and sadly still dealing with strong unpleasant odor. I see it has the same lot# as the two bags I had returned. (The bag that didn't have the odor had a different lot#.) I won't try this product again unless in a store where I can check to see if it has an odor (since it can be smelled through the bag) and it was helpful to my dog.

I have been trying this out as an alternative to using psyllium husk mixed in to their dog food. The treats are much easier to deal with than the powder. I give each of them the dose before dinner. They've been receptive to eating the treat. I am waiting to see if it's helpful like the psyllium husk powder. I do appreciate the simplicity of the product. I also really like the velcro enclosure on the package. It makes sealing the bag very easy.

My toy Aussie is not a fan of high fiber foods, and so we are required to find other ways to add fiber to his diet, these seem like the perfect solution. I was so happy to see another option by this brand as I have used their other products for many years! These will be a staple in our house!

Honestly, one of the best products that has been recommended to us. My poor pup was struggling for months with but scooting, itching, paw gnawing. I took her to the vet, they cleaned her out and recommended this product. By the next day my dog was noticeably calmer and stools are full and healthy. It’s been about a week and I swear she’s a different dog. And the taste must be great because she thinks they’re just a treat. Would definitely recommend for pups with allergies leading to gland issues! Amazing product.

When the vet recommended Filaquin, I was very skeptical. I was used to bringing in my dog once per month for her gland expressions, then it turned into once per week and it just kept getting more expensive as they raised their prices for that service. I reluctantly bought a bag from the vet, thinking it wouldn't work and it would be a waste of money. Um, I was wrong!! This stuff works. It took about a month but she hasn't had a problem with her glands in a long time. My daughter's dog was having gland issues and she started on it and her stools have bulked up and no gland issues. Great product!! So grateful!!

He had emergency back surgery late 2022 and has issues expressing his glands. He takes his meds well but he recently visited the vet for nail trimming and gland treatments. This seems to keep his glands from building up without the issue of releasing any unexpected glandular material leaking.
