What are the different between Denamarin and Denosyl since they are both package by Nutramax?

Answer by ChewyAug 15, 2018
The central difference between the two medications is a second ingredient that is found in Denamarin but not Denosyl. This ingredient, silybin, provides additional liver support and can work in conjunction with SAM-e to promote healthy liver function. This means that Denamarin is a stronger supplement for pets that need maximum liver support.

My veterinarian who is not only my mentor but a very dear friend recommended this product and it has made a big difference in our cat. He has cat dementia and has been yowling like a coyote day and night for the last two years which made it impossible to live in the house with him. He is still yowling but not nearly as much on a scale of 1 to 10 his yowling is about a one. I would recommend this product if you have this problem with your cat

I have used Deanmarin for years for Tawnie, my cat and he has recovered from a bad liver(Chewy first introduced me to it). Hey, try the Denosyl--- it is probably the next best thing. I'm sure it will do a good job for Tawnie. He has recovered; to maintain his liver as Denamarin did. And me and Tawnie love Chewy---it is THE BEST!!!

Helping my cat's high liver enzymes.

My vet prescribed this for my 10 month old kitten Michelangelo, who has high ALT and they aren't sure why until they do a biopsy. The numbers are falling slowly

My vet prescribed this for my 10 month old kitten Michelangelo, who has high ALT and they aren't sure why until they do a biopsy. The numbers are falling slowly but surely. I also give him milk thistle. I just ordered Denamarin which has both in it, but if you can't get Denamarin, or don't need milk thistle, this is great.

Helped My Cats Creatine Levels go down!

This is a great product! My vet recommended trying it since my cat has Chronic Kidney Disease and her creatine levels were very high. She said it may be her liver function. So I tried the pill and now within one month her levels are back to normal. And most importantly my cat takes the pill very well. Its small and I give her a little medicine dropper of water right after to make sure it goes down easier.

Our vet recommended this product as my senior pup was having extremely high liver enzyme values. This powerful antioxidant (which contains SAMe) has been a helpful addition to my pet's supplement routine. Within a month we saw her liver values decline, and we are continuing this product in hopes that it continues to help. To me, it has a lot of potential to improve any pet's wellbeing!

Denosyl Tabs and I/D Liver care dry food came to the rescue.

Our 14 year old cat, Max, has diabetes and is HIV positive. Now he has developed liver issues. Our Vet gave him fluids, a vitamin shot and recommended Denosyl tabs

Our 14 year old cat, Max, has diabetes and is HIV positive. Now he has developed liver issues. Our Vet gave him fluids, a vitamin shot and recommended Denosyl tabs and I/D Liver care dry food. It is two weeks later and he is almost back to his occasionally peppy 14 year old self. Thanks for making these products available. Now every day is a bonus for Max and us.

Cheaper than Zentonil and it's available

My vet prescribed Denosyl for my cat because the Zentonil he had been taking is not available due to some drug regulatory issue. My cat hasn't had an adverse reaction

My vet prescribed Denosyl for my cat because the Zentonil he had been taking is not available due to some drug regulatory issue. My cat hasn't had an adverse reaction to it, and the smaller tablet is easier to administer. Denosyl is cheaper than Zentonil. I gave it an overall rating of Good only because this is just the first refill my cat's had, so there hasn't been long-term experience with it yet.
