This is a fantastic supplement that our vet prescribed for increased liver values. I just want to warn everyone to PLEASE share their dog's detailed diet with their doctor and INSIST on analyzing whether that has something to do with the liver values. I consider myself an informed and caring guardian, and I messed up big time, so I want to warn others. We found out our homemade food was NOT balanced (99% of homemade dog food is not; the balance is very delicate!!!), and our beloved girl is being deprived of essential nutrients and vitamins (essentially nutritionally starved) as a result. We even kept a few serving of pre-formulated dry food in her weekly schedule. But that wasn't enough to balance things out. Her liver responded to the imbalanced homemade food by freaking out, despite us thinking we were doing everything right by spending loads buying the best ingredients to cook with for her. PLEASE don't make this mistake! Use pre-formulated food, ALWAYS! You'd be shocked what you can miss and the life-altering symptoms it causes. They can't tell us they feel bad. My dog looks healthy and loved, and yet she's been nutritionally starved due to my well-intentioned attempt to feed her the best food possible. PLEASE consider pre-formulated food, and if you insist on homemade, PLEASE speak with a board-certified vet nutritionist. It's really essential!

My dog was having some high numbers in her liver enzymes, so the vet told me to put her on a milk thistle supplement. I did, but it made her so lethargic. She is a working dog, so I need her to be active. So the vet suggested I put her on Denamarin. We just started this product and my dog will not eat it,, so I do give it to her in a pill pocket treat. The vet told me to give her the medicine on an empty stomach, so I give it to her an hour before she eats her dinner (no way I can make her wait an hour for breakfast). She seems to have more energy in the day. Now we will see what her next blood work looks like to see if it is working. Fingers crossed!

My dog recently passed away. I had meds that I no longer needed. Kayla is a rep who works there. She made it so I could get a refund, hassle-free. I didn't have to go through the stress of returning the meds. She told me not to worry about returning them. She was so compassionate and understanding. To top it all off, they sent me these beautiful flowers as a condolence for having to send my pup to heaven. Thank you so much Kayla and chewy family.

Unaware But Sure

My 13 year old Jackabee was diagnosed with a bad liver and was told that if she didn't get better that I would have to face putting her down so she wouldn't suffer

My 13 year old Jackabee was diagnosed with a bad liver and was told that if she didn't get better that I would have to face putting her down so she wouldn't suffer. Very disheartened I was sent home with 3 medications and Denamarin. After research on the net, I realized that I wasn't told everything about her condition and quickly found that although the liver is a major organ, it can also regenerate healthy tissues back to liver health. It's been almost 2 months now and my girl is back to her old self. With a strict diet and keeping her on Denamarin faithfully,, she is still with us and is healthy as ever. If your dog is having Liver issues, I would definitely try this. The vet only perscribed it the 1st time over a month ago but thanks to Chewy having them available, it's been a part of her daily diet once a day.

Liver Health

My King Charles Cavalier was diagnosed with Copper Storage disease in October ‘17. Denamarin was prescribed to support his liver health. This is a chronic disease but manageable. My dog’s quality of life and the prevention of further destruction is possible and very important to me. While my dog is taking other meds to rid the liver of copper and a special diet to prevent additional copper being added to his body, I believe this medication is preventing further erosion of liver itself. His BLOOD LEVELS have improved over the course of this last year. While I have no definitive proof, except for my dog to undergo another biopsy, his appetite, general awarness and energy has showed marked improvement. I would recommend this medication.

This stuff really WORKS!

My 12 year old chiweenie had some major liver problems going on. He hadn't been sick a day in his life. Then out of nowhere he is having to stay in the animal hospital

My 12 year old chiweenie had some major liver problems going on. He hadn't been sick a day in his life. Then out of nowhere he is having to stay in the animal hospital for 4 nights. His liver numbers were off the charts. They couldn't even get a reading on his ALT it was so high. After only a month on this medication his ALT is 76, which is a bit above normal but WOW it is way back down to nearly normal. Almost unbelievable. I would highly recommend giving this product a try for your dog's liver health. My boy is back to playing and being his normal squirrel chasing self (of course he never comes close to actually catching one ;).

This liver supplement has been a game-changer for my dog! I noticed more energy, a healthier appetite, and an overall brighter attitude after just a few weeks of use. My vet recommended this and I feel so much better knowing I’m giving my pup something that truly helps. The tablets are easy to give with a little cream cheese ;) I’ve seen such positive improvements in his energy levels. Highly recommend for any dog that needs liver health support!
