Is the Dasuquin Soft Chews the same as Dasuquin Advanced Soft Chews?

The Nutramax Dasuquin Soft Chews Joint Health Large Dog Supplement is not the same as the Nutramax Dasuquin Advanced Soft Chews. the Nutramax Dasuquin Advanced Soft Chews contain MSM, while this supplement does not contain MSM. MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane) has been promoted as having powerful anti-inflammatory and pain reducing properties, blocking the pain perception in certain nerve fibers before the pain impulse reaches the brain. Typically it is given to pets with arthritis who are experiencing pain.

This has avocado in it. Thought dogs cant have that?

The stem, leaves, pit, and peel of an avocado are not safe for dogs, however, avocado oil is a risk-free way to give your dog the benefits of this fruit.

Works as well as our vet described.

We have an Olde english Mastiff and a rescued Cane Corso/ Great Dane. Both are about a 1-1/2 years old. We have orthopedic Temper style beds for both our dogs. The Cane Corso came to us with massive stiffness problems in all of his joints. After we got him healthy and up to his proper weight, we discussed our options for his joint problems. This was the first product she mentioned. He has been using it for about 6 months now and rarely do we see the stiffness he had before. When he gets up in the morning now I don't hear rice crispies when he comes over to me. Since he has been on it we have added it to our other mastiffs supplement regimen as well. The true test will be in a couple of years when they are older we will see how well this product really works. So far very impressed overall. If it works this well on our 2 dogs it should work for any other dog with joint problems. Anything we can do to avoid having our fur babies on a Prevacox diet for the last couple of years of their lives is worth it now. On a side note our Cane weighs in right about 130 & our Mastiff is right under 200 lbs, so for them to show no signs of discomfort when we run them at our enclosed dog park(we run them for about 2-3 hours at a time) is really impressive. They run all over the place and frolick with the other Great Danes and mastiffs that come over. The next day other than sleeping almost all day you would never tell that they had exerted all that energy and been bouncing around. So overall buy the product if you are like us and concerned about the long term health of your dogs. I know for us our vet bills will be cut down in the future for using this product & our babies will be healthier and happier for it.

My German shepherd has had problems with her hips for over 3 years now, after going to many different vets, I went to my now vet, and they put her on dasuquin, after 6 weeks of her being on it she is back to her old self again. This is amazing good meds for her and I would recommend it to anyone instead of going elsewhere. Yes the price is kinda high but it is well worth money spent. If my German shepherd can get around better and do everything she used to then heck yea. Spend the extra money and do your dog a favor.

My dog eats these supplements with no hesitation when served on top of her kibble. Since starting this supplement, along with a fish oil supplement, she has had much less signs of discomfort in her back legs. It's been a couple months now; went through about three orders of fish oil and two orders of the dasuquin and I'm really noticing a difference in my dog's movement. She was sometimes limping after a short walk to the park a few months ago. She went for a long hike this weekend with no problems! The price is a deterrent. Between this and the fish oil, I'm not enjoying the expense but I do think it's worth it since seeing my dog's improvement

This has been such a game changer. Our senior labradoodle began having trouble going down the stairs. She could only do one step at a time and it was taking her a few minutes just to come down. I was contemplating having to buy a gate so she couldn’t go up without us, but our vet recommended these. She’s been taking them for a couple of years now and it’s like night and day. She can do stairs again! As she ages (she turns 12 next month) it does seem like she’s starting to have a little more trouble again, but we will talk to the vet about upping her dose. It’s worth it to know she’s not in so much pain!

My dog has been on dasuquin for several years. She's always eaten it without any issues, she never had a problem with the smell or taste until recently. I just received my new bag from chewy this week. When I opened it reeked and smelled like something rotting. My dog literally did the cartoon eyes wide funny face and took off running wouldn't touch it. It appears that they changed its formula or something else. Which is unfortunate and I'll have to switch brands. I will work with chewy for a refund but now trying to find something new. Without leaving too much time in between so that her joints start don't start causing her problems. Not interested in spending this much money on a product that smells like rot to everyone and I have to spend time trying to cover it up to get her to eat. I did try peanut butter, her fave med hide, and she spit it out.

Our six year old boxer was limping and not wanting to climb the three steps in our backyard. We were facing a daily pain pill for her and told that she likely wouldn’t run anymore due to arthritis in her left knee. We found these supplements and within a WEEK of taking them- our girl is zooming again! She plays, has a great disposition, and takes the steps with ease. She’s been given her life and happiness back, we are so grateful for these supplements!!!

I see a major improvement

I have an 105lb American bulldog who is 11 yrs old. He had a very bad limp and clearly in pain i started him on this medication a week a go and see a big improvement in his walk. I am amazed on how quick this supplement made him feel. I will reccomend this to anyone. His walk today was so easy..he was not dragging or slow; he had a pep in his walk!! Love this!!! Try it for your fur baby!

Awesome product

We have a 7 year old mastiff (BamBam) who had been limping a bit and hard to get up on his own (220 lbs). We found a new vet and he immed recommended this item. What could it hurt right? For the first month he got 4 a day, and after that 2 a day...within 3 days we noticed a change. The limping was gone. He has now been on them for 3 months and he actually is back to retrieving a stick and being quite playful. It is some pretty amazing stuff and would highly recommended it!

Let me start by saying this product review is 100% up and up! Molly, our choc lab, 10 years old, was to the point of almost no use of her back end (hips). Her mind still all there but the body was giving out. We were counting the days and dreading the day of having to put her down, it's so hard to watch the struggles. Well, I decided to search online one more time after trying many different things without success. I found these soft chews which were kinda spendy but she is worth every penny, I wasn't willing to give up on her. To my surprise she has a renewed life!!!Keep in mind she was in bad shape body wise. We gave her two in the morning and two at night (95lb dog) for the first week (jump start it) with amazing results!! We are now giving her just two a day as they recommend. It's only been 2 1/2 weeks BUT I have renewed hope that we will be able to have our beloved Molly with us longer without her having the difficulties of even moving laying positions. I NEVER write a review but this stuff is like magic potion. THANK YOU to who ever the creator is. I don't know how long or how far she will improve but just what I have seen so far has blown my mind!! Just try it, it's amazing stuff! Melinda

Hip and joint

My chocolate lab has been having hip issues. It was suggested to add a supplement and these were recommended. I am able to get them on chewy for less than the vet

My chocolate lab has been having hip issues. It was suggested to add a supplement and these were recommended. I am able to get them on chewy for less than the vet offered to sell them to me for. Very thankful because my boy is actually playing again.
