This is not the first time we have purchased Nutramax Cosequin for our dog. But it is the first time we have purchased it from Chewy. We have purchased it from other vendors to only discover chewy sells the same product for a better price, and has one of the best product guarantees in the industry, if not the best. The dog we give the Nutramax Cosequin too is our Barney, a 13 1/2 year-old Great Pyrenees and Border Collie cross. Barney is a professionally trained multitasked, capable, Mobility, Medical, PTSD service dog. We were going to retire him at 12, but Barney wouldn’t have anything to do with retirement. Even though it is up there an age and has slowed down somewhat, Barney didn’t really show obvious signs of being arthritic at the time. However, being a hard working professional that he is, our veterinarian recommended we started him on a maintenance program before the onset of arthritis began. We started him on the Nutramax Cosequin about a year ago and definitely saw more pep in his step, and still continue to do so. Do we recommend this product, absolutely yes. Do we recommend this product before the onset of arthritis, your darn right we do. Who wants to see their pet, best friend, companion, helper, and protector, suffer any sooner than they have to. Certainly not this sailor.

Has helped my boy!

My vet put my one girl Scooter on this yrs back, a sheltie and back then I only got thru the vet, I think I only could get from vet then, she lived to be 19 yrs

My vet put my one girl Scooter on this yrs back, a sheltie and back then I only got thru the vet, I think I only could get from vet then, she lived to be 19 yrs old. I've had 2 Brittany Springer spaniels since. My Rocky is 13+ yrs old! He has been having bad hip/back leg issues since est 8-9 yrs. Vet said start consequin. We did 2 daily for 8 weeks then he's taken 1 day for yrs. Takes 1-2 no to really work but it sure does! However the past 2-3 MO has been bad as to I have to push him up stairs to bedroom but he'd make it. A week ago his back leg no weight on it. He'd collapse at stairs to go up. 61 lb boy I can't lift. We got him to vet on stretcher in. She said no cist/tumors on joints in back legs to cause issues. But very inflamed so on anti-inflammatory med plus nuerotin low dose for pain along w/ consequin. He was noticeably swollen at ankles. Within 2 days swelling down and goes up a few steps for going outside. All I can say is I do def attribute his 13+ yrs of good quality life from consequin and good dog food! 13 yrs for my breed is great! I highly recommend them. My 3rd baby has used the product and def works. Now he's just old and arthritis very bad along w/ muscles mass gone at hips an issue. But he's still going and not in pain and again I attribute it to the med helping. Oh and he loves them just like a treat! Thanx for a great product Consequin! My Rocky is my family. Monica

My almost 10 year old shepherd has been taking this now for a year or two daily and it most definitely helps her get around with ease. It allows the cutting down of any prescription antiinflammatories. She willingly takes the chews every morning, so they must be decent tasting or she'd turn her nose up. I'm just grateful she moves like a dog younger than her actual age.

My senior dog is large at 64 pounds and is now 13 years old. I had given her this a good while ago, but then stoppedshe was diagnosed with IVDD last year when I moved to my temporary location where my parents were living my mom left a bottle of these Because it was brand new. I started using them again. I noticed a significant change in my dog’s ability to move around. She will now even run towards me, especially if I have a treat. She will also sometimes run alongside her siblings. I gave two to her every single day until the bottle was empty, and now I give her one a day. I am so happy that I started giving these to her again she seems much happier.

I read the reviews prior to purchasing. I had seen the advertisements. When my 11 year old 75 lb. Akbash began having trouble getting up and stopped getting on the couch and bed I knew I needed to purchase a joint supplement for him. I purchased Cosequin. I began giving the recommended starting dosage for his weight. It has been 12 days and he is so much better. He isn't struggling to get up, he is back to getting on the couch and bed. I do not normally leave reviews, but I have to admit I was skeptical. This product works. Herman is a very picky eater, but he scarfs these right down. We will definately continue purchasing and highly recommend.

Turning back time

Our senior dog has definitely been slowing down. Getting on the couch, walking up the stairs, and during our daily walks, he couldn’t keep up with our younger dog. While he still enjoyed playtime, watching him chase a ball was like watching it happen in slow motion lol! But after just about a week of getting 2 chews everyday, something changed. He started getting bursts of energy! Lately, he’ll now go into the yard by himself and grab his toys to play fetch. Hadn't seen him get the zoomies like that in quite a bit! It honestly felt like we had our playful buddy, even if just in short spurts. We haven’t changed anything else in his routine, so I really believe the supplements are what made the difference. If you’re unsure about trying them, I’d say go for it especially since they’re backed by science. Not hard on his tummy too, highly digestible 10/10

Best for food allergies I have come across

Used this dog food for 15-20 years. I had an American Fox Hound that had a hard time w skin issues. Red rashes, blistering itching etc. After trying many things this food did the best. I do not give my dogs any other food or treads besides this grain free single source protein food. I only get this salmon sweet potatoe. I do feed my dogs other natural things like eggs, sweet potatoes, green beans, blueberries etc but this is the only dry food I use and it has managed these allergy issues the best. I asked a vet about testing and the vet said you could test a million different things and still not know exactly what is causing the issues. Suggested trying 1 highly recommended food at a time till I got good results and this was the 1. I have a Black Mouth Ker as well and this food worked best for her as well.

Our dog Bella is almost 11, she was very athletic as a young dog. She has arthritis now and has had a knee operation. Movement has been hard, we have been giving her consequene for years now, you may not notice a difference on the outside but inside it definitely is working. Bella has less painful days and can run some, she is on meds for her arthritis and we hope to keep her comfortable as with us as many more years as possible.
