Are these okay for diabetic cats or too many carbs.? What is the carb content and nutritional info please?

Is the 120 count of the chews two bags of 60? My cat loves these. They get dry by the end of the month, even sealed well, so I just want to be sure it’s not one huge bag. Thank you.

Answer by JessiMay 07, 2026
It's one bag; I put them in a sealed container to retain freshness. The sound of the container opening makes an air sound and gets them excited for treat time!

Is this product NASC certified?

Answer by ChewyMar 23, 2021
The benefits don’t outweigh the requirements NASC membership as Nutramax Laboratories has a long history of manufacturing quality products based on science. They have been around for three decades without a recall. NASC membership requires that all products carry their seal. They can’t pick and choose. There would be no question they could pass the audit. Their quality standards far out perform their requirements, however, joining will not improve their products nor will it improve their image as the industry leader, they have set the standard.

Is it ok to give my cat this even though he is not showing that he has joint issues?

Answer by ChewyMay 23, 2021
Joint health supplements are recommended for cats at all life stages. This supplement is suitable for cats with or without joint issues as it supports overall joint health and mobility.

I purchased this as a preventative for my tri-pawed young cat, Indi. It will hopefully slow down potential wear and tear on her remaining leg and shoulder, and her hind legs, too. She happily ate the chew. Don't leave a new, unopened package lying out where the cats can get it; one of mine smelled the contents through the thick packaging and I caught him chewing the bag.

My Persian Skittles just turned 15 years old. In the last 2-3 years he has lost muscle mass and was limping some. Since Nutramax, he never limps and even seems to have a pep in his step. He apparently loves the flavor because he eats them as soon as they hit his bowl. So grateful for this supplement!

My cat has either a self-repaired hip fracture or bad arthritis (I rescued her from the street). She was always grouchy, and an xray showed why. We tried Solensia which 1 shot almost killed her (bad reaction). Now this product has enabled my girl to literally run up and down steps, play!!, and cuddle. Just wow. Nutrition is medicine.

I was looking for a treat-like supplement to help my Senior cat who has arthritis in his hips. These are soft enough to chew and he likes them very much. I've been giving them to him for 1-month now, and they've helped him a lot. He runs from time to time, and seems more comfortable. He actually looks forward to getting his "chew" every morning.

I have a wonderful 14-year-old that was just showing signs of aging. And a two year-old little girl with a kinky tail and a little hiccup in her giddyup from her spine. With my old man, I noticed a difference within days of giving him one pill a day. He started running around and acting like his young self again. Definitely seem to have an extra skip in his step With my little girl, I haven’t really noticed much of a difference with her play and such, but she does seem to be a lot less touchy about her hind and or tail being touched. I highly recommend this product. I don’t know that you will see as much of a difference as I did as quickly? But if it’sgreasing up those old ligaments and tendons, and it causes your kitty less pain with more activity, then why not give it a try. The price is pretty darn good as well

Theese seem to help my 16 year old cat feel more comfortable in moving arounnd the house. He is slow and a little grumpy but no arthritis shows up on xrays. I starrted giving him 2 chews every day and I can tell he feels a bit better about 20 minutes later. He walks around more and is less grumpy. I recommend these for your senior cat, especially if you are not sure what is bothering him.

Absolutely LOVE this product!!

I cannot recommend this product enough for pet owners who are struggling to decide between options for their pets with arthritis or joint issues! My 16 year old

I cannot recommend this product enough for pet owners who are struggling to decide between options for their pets with arthritis or joint issues! My 16 year old domestic short hair recently started having severe symptoms of arthritis in her back right leg to the point that some days she would hop around on three legs. After talking with my vet to make sure this wouldn’t mess up her treatment for diabetes I started her on them. She started them one week ago today and yesterday I bumped her back to the “maintenance” dose because she has responded so quickly! She adores these soft chews and thinks they are a special treat; no problem getting her to eat them at all and she can be picky if she gets the idea that something has medication in it. Only a week into taking them and I haven’t seen her limp in days which is a miracle since the weather where I live has been back and forth between cold and rainy and super warm. If you’re looking for an affordable option for arthritis treatment in cats I definitely recommend trying this! I am absolutely blown away!!

Significant improvement in senior cat's hip arthritis

I am awful about taking the time to leave reviews, but I need to write one for this product. Our 17 year old cat Yoshi has been suffering from severe hip arthritis

I am awful about taking the time to leave reviews, but I need to write one for this product. Our 17 year old cat Yoshi has been suffering from severe hip arthritis over the past few years. We had gone through some of the usual powder mixes like Dasuquin, but he always ended up avoiding his food for as long as possible when we'd use it and the capsules were just too big to pill. We eventually stumbled upon these treats that have the added bonus of omega-3s (something we felt could also help with his early heart disease). Yoshi has now been getting two treats every morning since early spring 2021 and there has been a remarked improvement in his mobility and jumping. While he still has arthritis, he is clearly in less pain and can move around more freely. He also just physically looks like he has more support in his back hips now. He just had another echo and his heart disease has stayed in the same early stage. I cannot speak to whether the Cosequin treats have helped with that, but I'm so happy we can at least do something to improve his heart health. I will add we're very fortunate that Yoshi is incredibly food motivated. He wakes us up every morning to get his Cosequin treats and happily gobbles them down. We break them in half just to make them a little easier to eat as they are very sticky. YMMV with your cat of course as you can read the reviews where some cats refuse to eat these treats since I imagine they taste a little like medicine. Similar to humans, you have to find the treatment that works best for your cat. In our case, these treats have greatly improved Yoshi's quality of life and he loves getting them -- a win-win that is often unheard of when treating medical issues in cats. Thank you to Cosequin for helping our baby feel a lot better!

"Yum nom nom" - Grendel the cat

My maine coon/Norwegian Forest mix, a big guy, has always limped. he's a rescue and vet thinks it was a dislocated shoulder that wasnt treated when he was young

My maine coon/Norwegian Forest mix, a big guy, has always limped. he's a rescue and vet thinks it was a dislocated shoulder that wasnt treated when he was young. now hes got arthritis is his hip and while still active and as mouthy as any 14 year old i can tell he's in pain when he over does it. This product got good reviews so i bought it. These are round and soft-ish. i recommend breaking things like these into smaller pieces so they actually chew it, and also you can fake them out and they think theyre getting 3 treats and not 1. My cat immediately ate these, i could hardly get them out of the bag and he was shoving my hand aside. apparently the flavor is Cat Approved. package says it can take 4-6 weeks to work well but can help before this time period. 4 chews daily for over 10 pounds of cat, then 2 per day maintenance. i like that theres a rhyme and reason to these. Very well packaged and explained.

I decided to try some cosequin for my 12-year-old Kitty. He's been moving a little slower lately and I thought this might help. So I got them Wednesday and when I gave him one he went crazy for it so I gave him his dosage. But he just kept meowing and meowing for it so I put it away. Then I gave it to him the next day and again he loves it. The third day he still loves it but instead of putting it away I just sealed up the package and left it out on the coffee table while I ran to the store. When I got home he had pulled it off the coffee table it was on the floor and he had ripped and bitten a hole in the side and eaten almost all of them! There were about eight left. Crazy animal! So I'm getting more but this time when they get here I'm going to store them in something he can't tear a hole through
