Nulo uses wild-caught salmon from both Pacific and Atlantic waters (regions can vary based on the migratory path of the wild population), and includes a variety of species: Chinook (King), Chum (Keta), Humpy (Pink), Sockeye (Red), Coho (Silver), and Alaskan. As part of an intensive quality control program, the fish ingredients are tested for potential contaminants including heavy metals like mercury, to ensure that they are safe. Nulo also requires that the fish is sourced naturally-preserved without the use of ethoxyquin. A certificate of analysis (COA) is required to accompany every ingredient upon arrival to the pet food kitchen to ensure that it meets strict requirements for nutrient and microbiological analysis before being used.

I've been looking around for a great brand for my little 4lb T-cup Yorkie. She's been spoiled since I got her at 11 weeks old. She won't eat anything unless hand fed, yes hand fed! Literally I have to scoop a handful before she'll even touch it. This has been our routine daily for 9 years!! Until Nulo came along! Not only do I love how healthy this is for her but she actually eats it out of her little pink fru fru bowls now. I've had these bowls for years!! Unbelievable! And, she loves the taste too!! This is a "win win" for both of us! I can now cook, clean, and other things now without having to sit there while she eats out of my hand! Thank you Nulo

Our 10 year old blue heeler Rottweiler Mix could barely stand up, do stairs or play much at all. He had been on gluc chondroitin which had helped a little. I switched him to Nulo and am adding in freeze dried raw food rehydrated and in 3 months we have a different dog! His mind, body and personality are like a puppy again. He even learned a new trick! Our younger Cavalier is on it now, too!

It is one of the reasons we selected it when we got Maize. Both girls are healthy and their coats, skin and teeth! I would recommend it to anyone.

My Chihuahua/mini pin mix dog, Ebony, has very bad skin allergies/irritation, and I have tried EVERYTHING to help relieve her of this irritation So my mom started ordering her food from Badlands, which my pup Ebony really likes. However, they very expensize for the size bag you get. So I decided to buy another food and mix the Badlands in to give the best benefits of both foods. She used to be on Purina Pro Plan for skin, but after 7 months, I saw no improvement in her skin irritation. So, I made the switch to Badlands and Nulo. So far, she has been on it fully for about a week or so, so I haven't seen any improvements just yet. However, I am hoping that it starts to help in some way. She loves the food to the point of licking the bowl. I only chose Nulo b/c I have been feeding my kitty this brand for 7 years, and she loves it, and I like the small kibble size for both cats and small breeds.

I just purchased this brand transitioning my mini schnauzer from a puppy TOTW to an adult dog food for small breeds, and decided to go with this brand, Nulo, after a good research, and speaking with a Nulo representative as confirmation of what I researched on the food ingredients, background of the brand, etc. We received this dog food yesterday, fed it to my mini schnauzer and he immediately fell in love with it. He didn't wanna go back to eating the rest of his TOTW so i mixed both TOTW and Nulo, and that's when he decided to eat the rest of his dog food in his bowl. The smell, and taste of this dog food is very much appealing to my mini schnauzer. His stool seems to be more firm than when he was on TOTW. I personally like the small bite size kibbles on this specific type of Nulo dog food. It works out great! Glad I have a brand to stick with for a very long time. NULO must continue making healthy, great tasting flavors for our four legged, fury babies that we love so much to live a very long, healthy life.

I have a small flock of little dogs and am typically fostering at least one nasty little monster from my local shelter that needs TLC and some behavior modification. A grain free food is a must for us because the behavior modification dogs don't do well with grain - the carbohydrates essentially convert too quickly to sugar and hype them all up. All of my little ones eat this happily and I haven't had a single foster that wouldn't eat it, except, of course, for those with special dietary requirements. I typically free feed and none of them over or under eat. Everyone has been maintaining weight nicely. This stuff is great!
