The nulo beef and sweet potato pouches are relatively easy to open and squeeze out. They have a consistency similar to canned wet food but there are some obvious chunks of real food. The smell is minimal and not bad. My two dogs a dachshund mix and a beagle both ate every bite and had no ill side effects.

She LOVED these meals, and it was a good break from cooking for us. While they are a bit expensive, they were worth it for us for an occasional change for our old girl.

Lola Mae has always loved her food and I've fed her Nulo dry food since she was a puppy. She's about to turn 2. When I started adding this as a topper for her, you could tell instantly how much she loved it. I only use about a 1/4 cup and I also add a couple spoonful's of goat yogurt because it's good for her and adds some tang. I think that this food really is worth the cost. However, in terms of packaging, it is messy, especially since I don't use it all. So, instead, I empty the whole package and transfer it to a glass container. The packaging isn't recyclable so I'm not sure what the point is of using that over a box type container. But either way, Lola Mae is a true fan and she just wants it to be food time all the time now.

My dogs love this item! Everytime I grab a pouch, they go crazy! I have had no adverse reaction to this. Normally when i give my dogs something new they tend to get an upset belly. Not with this! The only thing I don't care for is the pouch. It's tough to get all of the product out of it. Therefore I feel some of it is going to waste.

I chose this food because it's human grade and I want my dog to be healthy. But he's starving himself and has no known medical issues. (Just took my dog to the vet). Also, the way it's packaged is messy is not as convenient as it would seem. It's messy and it's hard to scrape all of the sticky dog food out of the package.
