It has a fish smell but not overwhelming. It has a mild scent since it’s literal fish oil. Just wash your hands after you wipe your finger with paper towels/napkins if you get fish oil smell on you.

How do you thoroughly clean the dropper after each use? How do you get the inside clean then do you store the dropper in or out of the fridge? I've always had a mess with the dropper in the past but want to be able to use this oil.

I’d advise not get soap and water in it cuz it might trap soap. Just wipe the syringe good with paper towels/napkins cuz it’s oil and then just use lukewarm water to rinse the inside and outside of it, dry, store it in the original box with the oil bottle in refrigerator for ~90 days

It seems like we all know and love this fish oil - it is high quality. But having to wash a dropper every time is insane and also could add even a small amount of water to the oil which will make it go rancid, fast. Ama$on has a glass dropper that fits onto the Nordic naturals bottle. You have to buy the pack of 4 amber colored bottles and just take the screw top. The brand is AOZITA and make sure you’re getting the 2oz bottles with the marked ml lines on the dropper. It’s a perfect snug fit! I hope this helps someone!

I’ve asked about them being more careful packaging very heavy things with lighter more fragile things and they said they’d make a note in my account and use 2 boxes when possible but I haven’t seen any improvement. I do like the product itself and my cat has no issue eating it mixed into his wet food once a day. After about 6-8 weeks of daily use I saw noticeable change in his coat. Shinier, overall healthy looking. I give it to him in hopes it may help with gingivitis inflammation but tbd if that is helping at all.

I tried the Nordic Naturals Omega-3 Cat Supplement with my 13-year-old domestic shorthair, Tuki (around 15 pounds and proudly chonky). I was excited to test it out because she went belly bald a couple of years ago, and I’ve been looking for something to support her coat and skin health. I gave Tuki 1 ml of the supplement each night for 12 days. She usually eats her kibble with no problem, but she sniffed this and walked away. I tried mixing it into her favorite treat, wet food, which she normally devours. Even then, she just nibbled and left most of it. That’s when I knew she didn’t like the supplement. In the end, I didn’t notice any changes in her coat, most likely because she was avoiding the food when the Nordic Naturals Omega-3 Cat Supplement was in it. Unfortunately, it one didn’t make the cut.

I'm not writing about Omega-3. I'm writing about how your company has sent another box which is IMPOSSIBLE for me to pick up. I don't know how any person could have picked it up. I am disabled and have requested two times for you to put multiple items in more than 1 box. I had to leave the box out in the cold/rain until I could open it and bring in one item at a time! MORE importantly, many of the cat food cans were dented in, and a container of the cat litter BROKE OPEN and went all over the inside of the box. I scooped up as I could, but it left me with less than half of a container - which I will not get reimbursed for. PLEASE break up the orders into smaller boxes that are lighter! If I have to make my order smaller in order to get smaller boxes, it costs me too much in shipping, so I try to order one shipment at a time. PLEASE do not send another ENORMOUS box or I will have to find an alternative place to shop. Thank you.

This not only improved my diabetic cats hair, which was brittle and falling out, but it help stabilize his glucose. I'm not saying it will do this for other cats with diabetes but that's what happened with my boy. My Willow was diagnosed with cancer in 2023. We were so close to losing him and its been a hard fight. But this small addition to his food has helped his tummy, his hair, and most importantly it lowered his triglycerides to normal levels. Always check with your veterinarian beforehand but honestly I think pets with chronic health issues are missing out if they're not getting this. He'll, even with no issues!

I bought this fish oil supplement for a senior cat we are fostering. We rescued him off the street and he was 6.5 pounds when we took him to the vet for the first time. We've been giving him a high calorie wet diet combined with dry food and it's definitely helping with his energy. It's too soon to tell if he's gained weight yet, but he's eating all of it every day and is much less lethargic. This supplement is a great addition to his food. It adds a few more calories and helps with his coat, something he desperately needs help with as it's clumped, matted, and rough. We gave him his first bath yesterday and the new hair growth is already so much softer than the old hair, so I think this supplement is definitely helping. He doesn't seem to be having any tummy trouble either. The dropper is included and is super nice, but like others have mentioned I wish it was built into the lid. It's not too much of a hassle to wash it and store it in-between feedings, but it's always more convenient to have it all in one. This does need to be stored in the fridge between uses, make sure you do that!

We were using a different brand of oil but it went rancid quickly and the plastic bottle was very messy. I was happy to find that this product comes in a glass bottle and as long as you store it in the fridge, it never has a smell. In the picture it shows a second lid with a dropper but the truth is the dropper does not attach to the lid and you can't store a greasy dropper anywhere between uses. So, I had to buy a different glass bottle that came with a dropper lid to store the oil which cost me extra money and quite frankly just annoyed me. I put this oil in my cat's Bowl before I feed her and she licks it right up, and with a glass bottle WITH a dropper lid, it does not make any mess. If you purchase this product you're going to want to purchase your own storage bottle with dropper attached to the lid. The brown ones on ebay work perfectly. I don't know if my cat has actually seen any health benefits from the oil but I know it's good for her. We are hoping it will help the hairballs slide out the back instead of coming out the front, if you know what I'm saying.

Nordic Naturals is a brand I’ve trusted with my human supplements for years, so I was excited to find they offered fish oil for pets too. This fish oil is good quality and my 17 year old kd cat drinks it with his hydration packet with no problem. It’s like a morning treat for him and he will yell at me until I get up and make it for him. It doesn’t come with the dropper that’s advertised in the picture, but the simple solution to that is just using a little ml medicine syringe and then cleaning it out after use. I find I prefer the syringe because it allows for more accurate dosing. I just wash it and store it right in the box with the bottle. A little bit less convenient maybe, but that doesn’t detract from the quality of the product, which is what’s really being reviewed here. This fish oil is one of the better options I’ve found for cats and I definitely recommend it.
