From what fish is the fish oil in this product derived from?

Answer by ChewyNov 14, 2025
The fish oil in this supplement is made from anchovies, sardines, mackerel, and herring.

How do you thoroughly clean the dropper after each use? How do you get the inside clean then do you store the dropper in or out of the fridge? I've always had a mess with the dropper in the past but want to be able to use this oil.

Answer by JocelynMar 16, 2026
I’d advise not get soap and water in it cuz it might trap soap. Just wipe the syringe good with paper towels/napkins cuz it’s oil and then just use lukewarm water to rinse the inside and outside of it, dry, store it in the original box with the oil bottle in refrigerator for ~90 days

is it unflavored

Answer by JocelynMar 16, 2026
It has a fish smell but not overwhelming. It has a mild scent since it’s literal fish oil. Just wash your hands after you wipe your finger with paper towels/napkins if you get fish oil smell on you.

Does it help eliminate dandruff in cats

My 6yo cat been taking this for a month and at first she was hesitant. She did not like it mixed with food and so she prefer by mouth if I hold her for few seconds and she likes it. Her fur is alot more soft, more shine, and I noticed she seems more happy. Also great for major organs and seems to helps with inflammation of her bladder since she have not have flare ups for a good while from Idiopathic Feline Cystitis. She seems more happy and healthy in general so definitely approved by Luna.

-2 stars for packaging issues. My most order came with a cracked and leaking lid. Packaging needs some work on the chewy side of things. The box came crushed on one side. I’ve asked about them being more careful packaging very heavy things with lighter more fragile things and they said they’d make a note in my account and use 2 boxes when possible but I haven’t seen any improvement. I do like the product itself and my cat has no issue eating it mixed into his wet food once a day. After about 6-8 weeks of daily use I saw noticeable change in his coat. Shinier, overall healthy looking. I give it to him in hopes it may help with gingivitis inflammation but tbd if that is helping at all.

When I switched my cat to a renal diet, her coat became dry, coarse, and discolored. I added this supplement to her diet and it was like a miracle. It restored her beautiful coat and she even has a little pep in her step (she’s 15 yrs old). She tolerates it very wellI when I mix it in with a tube treat that I also use to give her medication. I highly recommend this product.

Got this because vet recommended for my elderly cat. Cat likes it and eats it, but -2 stars for packaging design. Dropper needs to be integrated into the lid. It is so messy and wastes so much oil with having it packaged separately. Will not repurchase & will get a different brand when I run out

My 17.5 year old cat has kidney disease and his previous doctor suggested that I purchase Omega 3 capsules to put on his food. Of course he hated it and wouldn't eat the food. It didn't pass the smell test. His new doctors suggested I try again, so I went to Chewy. I was skeptical that he would eat it, but was will to try. He loves it! That's amazing, considering he is so finicky. I am looking forward to the benefits the Omega will provide.

A senior cat with picky tastes, helps her live a better life.

My senior cat-20-has never eaten anything but dry kibble. Her choice, not mine. The past year she has lost weight, suffered from hairballs and constipation. Since giving her the Omega 3 oil she is more active and generally feeling better. I feel it may have extended her lifespan. Grateful to have her with me a little longer.

First and foremost (and most importantly), my cat's coat has improved quite a bit which was why I bought this oil. She had dry skin and lots of dandruff, and since taking this for over a month now, I've already seen improvements. I wasn't worried about my cat being picky with the oil because she will eat just about anything, so thankfully I didnt have to worry about that. That being said, it was odorless. The dropper itself isnt connected to the cap as mentioned by others so I have to keep it separate from the actual oil, and that's a bit of an inconvenience.

Something changed, cat won’t eat

The dropper cap was replaced with a separate dropped making it inconvenient and unsanitary. My cat used to like it but the last bottle I got made her throw up and
