Mr. Jenks, my new friend, was a rescue dog. He is now my dear and delightful companion. He had been a stray and it was important to me that he be well fed now. He lost a leg due to an injury probably from a car. I don't want him to get overweight as I don't want to cause problems with his joints and bones. So. I carefully selected this formula for him. I am very pleased. Mr. Jenks loves this! He is not a gobbler, another reason I wanted to have complete nutrition that he would enjoy. He doesn't really like wet food. For the first month he was here, he was a bit shy and frightful. With good food and care, Mr. Jenks is a now happy little dog. He loves this food and I feel he is getting all his nutritional needs met. The ease of having the food delivery is so much easier for me. I'm an old lady who doesn't walk too well either! Not having to shop for and carry heavy bags makes sense. Chewy.com delivery right to the door was actually a deciding factor in my decision to embark on the adventure of adopting a companion. Mr. Jenks and I thank you for your fine service, great customer service, and the selection of products available. Fedex has been putting the boxes outside my gate, not on my porch, as they have been instructed to. I have complained twice, but it isn't working. I am a seventy year old woman with a bad back who takes in stray puppies and keeps them their entire lives.That is why I get my food at chewy delivered. But if you could try and get the drivers to listen to you, that would be amazing, because they just don't seem to care that I need them put on my porch. Thank you very much

Bea's will be 13 years old. She has been eating this food all her life. She was competing in agility. She is still very active with no major issues. Small dogs have issues with teeth and she has never had any removed. She also doesn't even require a dental cleaning every year. The food size is perfect for small dogs. She even likes it in her Kong toy as a treat!

This food has really improved my full blooded Shih Tzu health. I went to grain free on a desperate attempt to help with his skin issue. He was consistently itching and biting his skin raw. With advice from other dog owners and doing research I decided to go grain free and no additional additives in his food. It has been 3 years since and he is still doing great. I would recommend this to anyone having the same issue.

I have been purchasing Nature’s Recipe dog food for over a decade because of it nutrition & kibble shape. Apparently someone decided to change its shape from a flat square design to a nearly spherical design. My dog will only eat kibble that can be chewed easily. She refuses to eat the new kibble design. I am donating this kibble to the local dog shelter. I will never buy a Nature’s Recipe product again.
