My new dog, Daizy, loves this blend! I had been giving my dear sweet Mr. Jenks the chicken formula, but decided to try the lamb for Daizy as she is young and strong. I thought a red meat would suit her personality. She wolfs it down! Daizy stands next to the container at 6 a.m. and again at 5 p.m. I wanted a complete food, grain free, and this fits the bill. The best part is how much she loves it. Chewy.com is wonderful. I can get big bags delivered right to my door. It makes it easier to be sure I can get what I want without having to do the hauling! I really don't know if I would have gotten another dog at my age if I had to do the heavy lifting.

It was hard to find something different for my pups to eat but they had lost interest in the Nutro Chicken and brown rice, but they are transitioning to their new taste quite well. Of course I still have to add their home made topper to the Lamb sweet potato and pumpkin for them to eat it. I would love to find something that they would eat without having to make the topper of chicken, celery, carrots, green beans and whatever else I add to it, it is time consuming and quite expensive. I am still looking for new things to try. Eventually I may find a good dry food that they will love, I will keep trying other options if they do not grow to like this better once I get them transitioned from the recipe with salmon that they just would barely eat even when I filled their bowls with mostly topper. We will get there eventually!! I know you have something they will love!

A few years ago chewy asked me to change my dog food because they longer carried the brand. I picked one my dog did not like and then they picked another one which has been fine but during that time I received a discount till we found the one Manny liked. 2 years latter and he is still eating this brand. Thanks chewy for finding a replacement. Love chewy!

As prices are rising, we're trying to save money. Nature's Recipe Grain-Free Lamb, Sweet Potato and Pumpkin dry dog food is comparable to American Journey with similar ingredients but currently costs almost $10 less for the same size bag. The dogs seem to enjoy it. The results on the other end seem healthy. The only downside is that it contains chicken meal as the second ingredient. Generally I don't like my dogs to have chicken because it seems to give them gas but so far, it's not too bad. I believe meat meal is an unhealthy by-product which is the other reason I'm not thrilled with this ingredient. However, this product is the closest that I have found to AJ at a lower price. For now, this is our new go-to dog food.

I changed to this food from Taste of the Wild because I wanted to buy smaller bags and I ust couldn't pay the price for TotW small bags and this seems like a decent

I changed to this food from Taste of the Wild because I wanted to buy smaller bags and I ust couldn't pay the price for TotW small bags and this seems like a decent food and the small bags aren't twice the price per pound as the big bag. She seems to like it and it hasn't messed with her stomach so I'm happy and I think she's happy so that's what matters.

I agree with other reviews about recent change in food quality

has a strong smell like chemicals when opening the bag, my pitbull used to eat the food no hesitation now she sniffs it and walks away I have to mix sardines to

has a strong smell like chemicals when opening the bag, my pitbull used to eat the food no hesitation now she sniffs it and walks away I have to mix sardines to get her to eat it, she also gets bloating and gas and smelly poos after eating this food now. I also see the chicken meal is added now. disappointed since this food worked for her skin allergies and yeast issues, but now it doesn't work. have to find yet another brand that's affordable and safe for my dog. I also noticed she has been getting random skin tags popping up and benign moles, wouldn't surprise me if this new dog ingredient is causing it :(

So I decided to let my now 6 month old pup pick out her own food. We went to petsmart and walked down the dog food area. I pointed at the bags of food. She sniffed

So I decided to let my now 6 month old pup pick out her own food. We went to petsmart and walked down the dog food area. I pointed at the bags of food. She sniffed each one. She liked the smell of this one the best. Based on her repeatedly coming back to this bag. So I bought her the 24lbs bag. Wish Chewy offered the 24lb bag. I will update this review after a few weeks to say haw things go. I do like how it seems to help other dogs with loose stool per the reviews. I will see if it helps my pup with that issue as she sometimes has loose stool.
