Does this food contain chicken or beef ? My dog is highly allergic to chicken and beef

This food does not contain any beef. It contains poultry fat, but no poultry meat. As pure poultry fat contains no protein, it should not trigger the allergic reactions that meat or meal would in a pet who is allergic to it. I have an 8 year old Frenchie who’s (obviously) always struggled with allergies and GI sensitivity. We’ve tried environmental changes, meds, all of the hydrolyzed diets, sensitive skin/stomach diets, limited ingredient - you name it, we’ve tried it. On a whim, I ordered this food as my baby’s regular food was on backorder and I needed to stick with the same protein. Two weeks in and his skin looks better, not as many stinky toots, and his stool quality has improved. My wallet is happy, my house smells better, and most importantly Boss is feeling better! This food is a WIN.

I have an 18-month-old 130-pound male Dogo Argentino. He has been on another premium brand of dog food (more expensive) since I got him at 4 months old. He has a sensitive digestive system and tends to get loose stools easily so I was reluctant to change foods. Lately, he has not been eating well so I decided to try something new. The food he was on was a salmon based product so I thought another flavor might be a good idea. I changed him over to the Natures Recipe lamb and rice and he is excited about mealtime again. He is eating much better and had no diarrhea during or after the change. He looks great and doesn't have fish breath anymore which is a nice touch. I also mix in 1/2 can of the same kind of wet food with the dry as I did with the other brand. He has almost finished the first bag and I will be ordering more. I highly recommend Natures Recipe lamb and rice for any dog especially any with sensitive digestive systems.

My boxer has an extremely picky digestive system and he has successfully been on this food for a few years now. All of the sudden, I noticed that the pieces of food are way smaller then they used to be....like puppy kibble. My dog is choking after every meal and coughing out some of the food, even hours later. I'm going to have to find a new food for him, which terrifies me, because he is so sensitive. Very dissapointed.

My dog used to love this food, had no problems with it for a few years. Recent bag had kibbles a lot smaller and denser than before. My dog refuses to eat it now, even with toppings. She was never a picky eater. I’ve been given a lot of puppy eyes, I could tell my dog was very hungry, but she wouldn’t touch the food until I switched brands.

Nature's Recipe Lamb, Barley and Brown Rice Recipe is a big hit with my 17 year old dog. He loves the flavor and he was able to eat it with no stomach upset. It's a big hit with me, too, as I love the healthy ingredients and natural preservatives without artificial colors or flavors. This makes me believe they have my dog's health as a priority. The glucosamine and chondroitin sulfate are great additives for a senior dog, like mine. Overall, my dog and I are very pleased with this flavorful, high quality food.

I adopted a pit mix (about 43 pds) from the animal shelter a few weeks ago. When I got her I just bought a bag of Kibbles N Bits. But, due to the fact that I am on a budget with limited income (single mom of 3 special needs teenagers who can not work). I did my homework for about a week to see what would be a good dog food for her but yet stay within my budget. I came across this brand. I noticed there were some awesome reviews so I bought it..... she LOVES it more than the KNB and yet this is a lot cheaper and healthier for her. This is now her forever dog food. Thank You

Nature's Recipe gets good reviews across the types for their dry dog food so I'm sure it's a good brand to try.

I've been looking for a nutritious dog food that my GSD likes, too. My Blitz is spoiled and doesn't eat everything, it has to be tasty, too. Boy, did he love this

I've been looking for a nutritious dog food that my GSD likes, too. My Blitz is spoiled and doesn't eat everything, it has to be tasty, too. Boy, did he love this food! I was still filling up his storage container and he was right there with his head in it, eating it. I also noticed him to become calmer and easier to train, but still with lots of energy. A win win situation. Maybe the food is a bit more in cost, but so worth it. Thank you Chewy, I finally found the right dry dog food for my boy! He still gets his once a day fresh prepared food, like cooked chicken, tuna, liver, hamburger etc., but when he eats inbetween, I know, he gets the best dry food there is for him.

I've had one of my dogs since she was 11 weeks old. She's always had a sensitive stomach and usually bad diarrhea. We went through 7 different foods in 2 years before FINALLY trying this and this has been a life saver. Not only does she is it good on her stomach, she now had solid poops and she LOVES it. I also recently adopted a second dog and he loves it as well. Both of my dogs' skin and coats look amazing! There teeth look pretty good and breath isn't too bad either.
