Why is there no taurine listed in the ingredients?

Many dog food manufacturers don’t add taurine to their ingredients because it’s not recognized by AAFCO as a required nutrient (since dogs can produce their own taurine). In particular, Nature’s Logic doesn’t add any chemically synthesized amino acids, vitamins or minerals. However, if you check out their website, they show the analyzed levels of amino acids, vitamins, and minerals. For this product, taurine is listed at 0.13 % on a dry matter basis.

Does Nature's Logic source any ingredient in this dry dog food from China? If so, which ingredient?

Nature’s Logic selects vendors that can supply ingredients from the USA and other countries with good food safety practices, such as New Zealand, Australia, Canada, and Europe. They also require their vendors can guarantee that the ingredients do not come from China, and that they contain no chemical preservatives, herbicides, or insecticides.

Does duck and salmon feast have any form of chicken in it

This Food does not contain any chicken protein, it only contains chicken fat (which does not contain any allergen).

How fishy does this smell? The other fish options I would feed have a strong fish smell I could not handle.

I stumbled upon this food when looking for a high quality, low carb grained diet without chicken (which is next to impossible). I love the protein varieties and

I stumbled upon this food when looking for a high quality, low carb grained diet without chicken (which is next to impossible). I love the protein varieties and the fact that it does not contain legumes, potatoes, etc. I do have a couple complaints that I’m trying to look past. The first is kibble size. It’s the same size kibble as my cat’s dry food. That is unusually small unless you have a dog under 10 lbs. My dog is 30lbs but the main problem is how fast he eats. He doesn’t chew his food as it is, but this excessively small kibble means he just inhales it. His other food is Orijen and I love the kibble size of that. My other complaint is that it is only 60% animal protein. Most foods I purchase are at least 85%. Lastly, I think that they are getting a lot of new customers because of the grain-free dog food scare. I’m totally on board with that scare, but I think low percentage of animal proteins needs to be looked at. So if they either supplemented with taurine and/or increased meat protein % and had kibble size that is more average sized, I’d be 100% sold on this product.

I really like this kibble brand! No synthetics vitamins and very little fillers for a kibble! I went to this brand because they use millet instead of potatoes, corn, soy, lentils, beans, etc. With the DCM scare that's going around I decided to put my DCM susceptible golden retriever on a grain inclusive without going back down the latter to Purina, Hills, or Royal Canin. I raw feed most of my dogs but for now my Golden is on kibble and it's the closest I can get to raw in my opinion without paying insane prices or dehydrated or freeze dried brands.

Great food - Cured my dogs itching

For five years I have tried just about every brand of food to at least slow down my Shepherd./Mix dog from constantly scratching at himself. My Vet. was perplexed

For five years I have tried just about every brand of food to at least slow down my Shepherd./Mix dog from constantly scratching at himself. My Vet. was perplexed too. Then when I found Natures Logic and it was made with no man made synthetic or added minerals or vitiams I bought a bag of chicken. Within three months my dogs itching stopped. I have since tried three of the varieties including Lamb and Duck/Salmon. They all work well in the prevention of itching. I also feed it my two Boston Terriers too. I even have a family who provides a home for rescue dogs trying this food and they too are getting the same results.

Moose is an extremely picky dog! Because of this we used to feed raw which he loves but due to finances we needed to go back to kibble. Let me tell you, we went through 4 different kibble brands for 3months at a time and he wouldn't eat any of them! He constantly needed toppers in order for him to actually eat and since he's already a skinny mini with a high metabolism, he lost A TON of weight. Until we found Natures Logic! He eats this no problem! We've gone through beef, chicken and duck & salmon recipes and he's loved them all! I will say his poops are the best on the duck and salmon recipe. The beef gave him a little constipation and the chicken was a little to wet for my liking but the duck & salmon has been perfect. Can't wait to continue to try more recipes and see how he does!

BEST OVERALL QUALITY DRY FOOD ON THE MARKET

We have been feeding Nature's Logic to one spayed 8 year old female JR and a mixed breed 5 year old neutered male since Susan Thaxton's recommendation a few years

We have been feeding Nature's Logic to one spayed 8 year old female JR and a mixed breed 5 year old neutered male since Susan Thaxton's recommendation a few years ago. We rotate the protein every couple of bags. Best on the market with all natural ingredients and fair price. These two are very healthy with vet visits only minimal. Just had blood work on JR for cleaning teeth and everything perfect. They stay in perfect weight and have never had any itchy problems. I do add krill oil to their diet. Please keep up the good work and don't sell out to the mega dog feed companies. I think you are close to being our last hope. Enjoyed the news letter.

I am so grateful and relieved to have come across nature's logic. I have a German shepherd who struggles to keep weight on because of his picky ways but since switching to this food he has not skipped a meal! It is incredible how excited he gets for meal time now, not even a single kibble gets left behind. I love how healthy it is and I also have noticed his stool has been more firm which is an added plus. Glad we made the switch.

We tried the Canine Duck & Salmon Meal Feast and loved it. It contains all healthy natural ingredients with high quality minimally processed proteins. There are no synthetic vitamins or minerals and NO wheat, peas, rice, potatoes tapioca, corn or soy. Since the protein content is higher, you can feed less. There are antioxidants from fruits and vegetables included and probiotics and enzymes added after cooking. The only ingredient we weren’t familiar with was millet, which is a gluten free hypoallergenic cereal grain that is nutrient dense, rich in Vitamin B fiber and minerals. This is a 5 Star food and worth trying out for the health and happiness of your canine family.

Something must have changed

Like other reviewers this food was good to our dog for almost a year, but out of nowhere it began giving him really bad diarrhea to the point where he couldn’t hold

Like other reviewers this food was good to our dog for almost a year, but out of nowhere it began giving him really bad diarrhea to the point where he couldn’t hold it in so he ended up having accidents in the house. We were hesitant at first that it was the food and we’re even recommended by vets that he probably just needed more probiotics in his diet after feeding him bland foods for one to two days we slowly incorporated him to this food again. Immediately after his diarrhea came back and he had another accident inside. We did bland foods once again and as soon as we fed him this food one last time the diarrhea came back. I’m not sure what changed or if this was just a bad batch, but I’m changing his food to another brand, I’m not going to risk my dog’s health.

My dog literally tore a hole in the bottom of the bag before I could open it, he wanted to taste it that much! We tried the duck & salmon recipe and he gobbled it up! I was excited that he could get such high quality proteins in dry dog food. It’s also great that there are probiotics in the food to help with healthy digestion. Nature’s Logic buys 1 kWh of renewable energy for every lb of Nature’s Logic pet food you buy. I definitely want to support companies that have initiatives like that!
