10 Customer Questions

I know i'm looking at the 'Beef dinner" right now, but since i'm looking at your other products, my frfom free ranged question is applicable to them also. Specifically, is the beef from free ranged (grass) or grain fed cattle? Is the chicken and turkey also free ranged and grain free ?

Answer by ChewyFeb 25, 2019
The lamb, venison, and beef sources are all grass-fed. The chicken, duck, turkey, and rabbit sources are commercially-raised for human consumption and are fed vegetarian diets. They are antibiotic and hormone-free.

are the cans bpa free?

Answer by ChewyMay 03, 2018
These cans are BPA-free.

Is the beef raw? And is this food tested for microbes and harmful pathogens?

Answer by ChewyJan 26, 2021
Nature's Logic canned diets are cooked around 250 degrees and are tested to ensure there are no harmful bacteria, like Salmonella or E. coli.

How long is an open can good for after storing in the fridge?

Answer by ChewyMay 12, 2021
Low-acid canned goods, such as meat, poultry, fish, gravy, stew, soups, beans, carrots, corn, pasta, peas, potatoes and spinach) can be stored three to four days. Although it's safe to store the food in the can, it will retain better flavor if transferred to a glass or plastic storage container.

I have been purchasing Nature's Logic for a while now, and my dog does very well with it. Great, clean ingredients. However, there are times some of the cans come dented but not enough to worry or write about. Except this most recent order was an exception with six out of 12 cans extremely dented and not just on one side. Both sides were crushed in. It was not from shipping, since the outside shipping box was fine. Disappointed in Chewy for sending this out to customers. At almost $5 a can, these should have been refused from the vendor. I've been a loyal Chewy customer for many years and this makes me want to shop elsewhere. There are other suppliers who have the same food with better discounts. Nature's Logic gets 5 stars but Chewy gets 1 star.

I have a very picky German Shepherd when it comes to food. I have him on Natures Logic Dry Food. So I did some research on the contents of the dry food as well as the wet food. I wanted to make sure there was nothing in the foods from China.I called several other companies and they were not able to insure that there were no products from China. I called Natures Logic and I was transferred to I believe the VP of the company. He went over all the ingredients of both Wet & Dry. Nothing is added from China and apparently they are very careful about where they get their food sources from. If feel very confident in Natures Logic Products. I purchased a case of the wet and Buddy likes it. I also noticed his stools are much firmer than before as I was feeding him a different brand of wet food. It costs a little more but you get what you pay for. Also check out their dry foods, very high quality. Pat

Our two morkies were so spoiled! We painstakingly boiled them chicken breasts and boiled green beans, cut up super fine, daily! The Vet said that the chicken would pull from their bones and they needed a multi-vitamin. But what do you do when your babies would rather starve with regular dog food! Heaven forbid! Trust you me we tried them all! My daughter-in-love had us try the Nature;s Logic brand and they love it! No more boiling chicken and green beans! (exhausting and costly, by the way!) This my dear reader is a miracle! Hats off and Thank You Nature's Logic and Chewy.com makes it a all around win win!

I got this canned food to go with the dry kibble. Sometimes I feed this as a meal, but mostly use it as a top dressing for the dry food. It's a nice consistency, smells good and my dog loves it. Since I wet the dry food too, this makes a nice thick "stew" when added together and my dog cleans her bowl every time. Very happy I discovered Nature's Logic and Chewy.com. Will definitely be ordering more of the Nature's Logic foods and will buy them here at Chewy.

For years I fed all of my dogs frozen dog food. It was recommended by my vet and the dogs loved it. I became concerned when I realized the food contained questionable ingredients such as bakery fines. I made the decision to change to a premium food. I tried a number of top brand foods mixing kibble with a canned topper. One of my dogs refused to eat any of them. Finally I tried Nature's Logic kibble and canned. She loves it and I feel better knowing they are both eating what I would consider in human terms, a well balanced meal.

I have tried several of the Nature's Logic can foods. Everyone is extremely healthy and has a meatloaf consistency not watery or soupy like other can foods. My guy loves the beef and lamb. He did not like the Duck & Salmon or the Chicken so I now order beef and lamb and switch it back and forth. I use 1/3 can on top of his dry Nature's Logic kibble and he eats it up. The only down side to this healthy food is that you have to refrigerate any unused portions and they recommend you throw away any wet food that has been out for longer than 1 hour in the bowl (not a problem as my guy eats it right down) The fact that this food has these rules tells you that it is truly made from real food just like the food we eat!!!

Our dog is doing great with this food, but the price is pretty steep. She does great on this canned food (the Nature's Logic beef kibble made her so constipated, on the other hand) but the cost is a huge deterrent to us using this in the future. We already have to supplement this food with food we cook fresh at home because we'd have to sell our house to afford to feed our dog with the recommendations on the label. I guess its reasonable to feed your dog $15 of canned food a day when you're the one collecting the money? At that cost, I could buy our pup a steak every day instead.

So I really like this brand and the fact it doesn’t have all the fillers and preservatives that most dog foods have, but this particular flavor is super thick and dense and not very palatable. I had to add some beef broth to it to soften and moisten it up. This wasn’t their favorite and they kind of turned their noses up at it until they got really hungry. But I recently purchased a different flavor and got the turkey, completely different consistency! Much easier for them to eat and more wet than the Beef formula, and my guys practically lick the bowl clean with the Turkey formula! I haven’t tried any of the other flavors so I’m not sure of the other ones. But I will be getting the other flavor from now on. But I do love this company and the better quality food they provide, just not a fan of this beef one unless they change the consistency to softer.

High quality highly rated dog loves it and it is one of the very few products of canned pet food without carageenan. That is a filler that seems to be in everything. My dog has a sensitive digestive system and this is known to cause digestive issues, among other things. Google it.
