All of the plants that manufacture the Natural Balance dry formulas, canned formulas, treats, and food pouches are located in the United States, with the exception of the Delectable Delights Stews and Wet Cups, which are manufactured in Thailand by a state-of-the-art USFDA-approved plant.

What is the percentage of Salmon to Peas? Also what is the Taurine level? Thanks.

The ingredient order of this formula is green peas, salmon meal, and salmon. It would contain a higher content of peas than salmon. The Taurine level is approximately 0.1%.

What is the shelf life for this bag

The “Best if Used By” date will be listed on your Natural Balance® product located on the back or bottom of pack. An unopened bag of food will last until the expiration date stamped on the bag. Ideally, dry food and treats should be consumed within 6-8 weeks of opening the bag. Exposure to air, light, hot temperatures and humidity speeds up the rate at which foods degrade. To limit these effects, keep dry foods in their original packaging and store in a cool, dry location.

My cats are 14 years strong and have been eating this almost their entire life. Sometimes with a little warm water for a special occasion. I haven’t had any health issues beside their allergy to chicken which makes is almost impossible to find a food without chicken ingredients. Natural Balance has been our choice for 10years strong if not more due to the ingredients list. Ive tried hard to compare to others , literally sitting on the floor in the pet store isle reading and comparing ingredients and %s of crude fats and calories. But Natural Balance always wins my heart. Simba and Mimi are litter mates and have been healthy their entire lives thanks to Natural Balance.

Great food!

We previously were feeding out 2 year old Dilute Tabico Purina One Tender selects. After trying this food as our vet recommended it after an exam, I am impressed

We previously were feeding out 2 year old Dilute Tabico Purina One Tender selects. After trying this food as our vet recommended it after an exam, I am impressed. I thought how much could good impact her coat and fur? A lot is the answer! She feels softer and is not as itchy which helps her over-grooming. She also thinks it’s delicious!

Improved health

Switched from Iams to a combo of Healthy Balance for breakfast and Wysong Epigen for dinner and the improvement in my cats' health, especially my 11 yr old Calico,

Switched from Iams to a combo of Healthy Balance for breakfast and Wysong Epigen for dinner and the improvement in my cats' health, especially my 11 yr old Calico, has been astonishing! She had scabs on her next for several years now and I was suspecting she was allergic to something in the Iams. My dog, Hownd is certified allergic to just about everything and I couldn't afford the prescription diet. I switched him to Natual Balance Limited Ingredient and is doing so well on it, I figured I'd try their cat version for my Calico. Not disappointed at all. Her scabs are gone, coat is glossy and she is now energetic. I also introduced the Epigen shortly after, but I am convinced I've found the right combo for my cats..

Sharp bones found

My cats like this food and the ingredients are great. I’ve bought it several times and never had any issues. However, I bought a bag in January 2024 that has a ton

My cats like this food and the ingredients are great. I’ve bought it several times and never had any issues. However, I bought a bag in January 2024 that has a ton of sharp bones stuck in the food, some sticking out with sharp edges. On one hand I’m glad to know there is actual salmon in it, on the other hand I’m afraid this isn’t safe to feed to your pets. Maybe this was just a bad batch??

Great food! Since the first day I bought NATURAL BALANCE this is all my two kitty`s will eat! Both Bindi and Mati used to constantly beg at the table and claw my legs trying to get at my "people food" especially meat! After feeding them Natural Balance, they don`t even come near the table anymore and believe it or not they`ll now snub they`re nose at a piece of STEAK! Mati still however won`t leave me alone when I`m eating a Dungeness crab! Natural Balance cat food together with the OUTSTANDING service from CHEWY, Feeding and litter couldn`t be easier which gives me time for other important things. Thank You CHEWY!

I recently adopted a Maine Coon cat named Max. Well, unbeknownst to me, Max had a big problem ~ serious diarrhea! I did a lot of research on cat foods for this particular malady and this was the one most highly suggested. And, lo and behold, it worked! After weaning him off his previous food by mixing the two, he is now completely on Natural Balance. He likes the taste better than his old food, too ~ an added bonus! I think this is a keeper!

Incompatible with my cat

I switched my cat’s food to this one to try to match ingredients as much as possible with his previous food from Purina (which they unfortunately discontinued)

I switched my cat’s food to this one to try to match ingredients as much as possible with his previous food from Purina (which they unfortunately discontinued). He started regurgitating/vomiting this food back up pretty much immediately, and now he barely touches it. He loves to eat (like most other cats) and always eats all of his food. He is also not a picky eater at all, and I have considered myself a lucky pet parent for that reason. This purchase was a flop, unfortunately. I will continue my quest for a great substitute for his previous food.

Allergenic cat loves it!

Our cat Smitty is severely allergic to any kind of chicken or chicken byproduct so this food was a lifesaver! Not only does he love it but it helped his allergies completely, no more losing fur and no more throwing up. Its a really great limited ingredient diet especially with how inexpensive it is compared to other brands, all in all would highly reccomend if your kitty has allergies or a sensitive tummy!

That's when I checked out the Natural Balance dry cat food formulas and found this. I wanted to feed my senior cat a quality food and I found it right here at Chewy!
