My dog has had to take allergy injections (CytoPoint) every fall and winter to tackle the winter grass in Arizona. After roughly 3-4 years of allergy shots we decided to add Native Pet allergy chews. This is the first year she has not needed injections, and the first year she has not had an ear infection due to allergies . I can’t say 100% it’s due to these chews, but it’s the only thing in our routine we’ve changed . We have been using for roughly 4 months, and she likes the flavor too

I have gone through two bags with mixed results. The first looked normal but the second had noticeable green/yellow powder on many pieces which made it feel inconsistent. There was also a lot of breakage and by the end of the bag about a quarter had turned into crumbs making dosing less convenient and reducing value. The pieces also arrived clumped and needed to be broken apart for serving. In terms of effectiveness I saw a slight improvement but it did not stop my dog paw licking. Overall it may work for some dogs but the inconsistency in appearance and texture makes it harder to feel confident in it.

My dogs been taking these for 3ish years now. Every dogs different but I can happily say these do wonders for my girl. Still haven’t been able to figure out what she’s allergic to but these are the only things that have helped. She had such itchy skin, nothing seemed to help before giving her these. She got to the point where she had bald spots and open oozing sores from scratching and biting herself so much. She still itches, BUT it’s nothing compared to how bad she was. Her sores healed and hair was able to grow back, probably noticed a big difference somewhere between the 3 week to 1 month mark of taking them. I knew these were what made the difference when I was switching up her diet and trying to pinpoint what it was that was actually helping her, because she went right back to the balding and open sores after being off them for maybe a week or two. It definitely takes some time to get through their system. Sometimes the chews aren’t all the same size unfortunately but I’ve been able to eyeball the amount she needs by just comparing it to one of the regular sized chews.

My blind senior dog loves these allergy supplements so much that she could smell them through the bag and tried to get to them. I also love that this recent batch was a little flatter for ripping into smaller pieces for her since she’s small and has severe tracheal collapse. These have been a great support for reducing itchiness and dry skin and improving her immunity. I love that Native Pet keeps the ingredients simple and doesn’t cover up all the good stuff in junk.
