Product Review: Native Pet Hip & Joint Advanced Care I tried Native Pet Hip & Joint Advanced Care for my German Shepherd, who is 75 pounds and just shy of 9 years old. He’s still very active and goes on daily walks of about 2–3 miles, so joint support is important for us. One thing I really appreciated right away was that the smell was not overwhelming at all. The product came in a sturdy canister and included its own scoop, which made measuring easy. My dog absolutely loved it sprinkled on top of his food—there was no hesitation at mealtime, which is always a win. That said, for a dog of his size, the container only lasted about 10 days. The serving size is a fairly large amount of powder, and while that may be appropriate for effectiveness, it wasn’t the most convenient for my routine. I usually feed him using a snuffle mat because he eats very fast, but due to the amount of powder, I had to switch to a bowl so I could mix it in properly. While my dog enjoyed it and tolerated it very well, the combination of the large powder serving and the short duration of the container means it’s probably not something I would continue purchasing long-term. Personally, I’d likely look for a joint supplement in a chew form or something easier to administer moving forward. Overall, it’s a quality product that my dog enjoyed, with thoughtful packaging and a mild smell—but the format and short supply for larger dogs didn’t quite fit our needs.

Hi, Kaiser here! I’m a pretty picky pup and expect a little extra yumminess in my bowl...but this gets my tail wagging every time. It has a distinctive smell that my human may notice, but to my nose, it smells absolutely paw-some! I actually look forward to mealtime now and clean my bowl like a good boy. Honestly, if I ever refuse this food, my mom knows something must be wrong. Five paws up!

We have been using a majority of native pets products since November 2025 after we received nova’s degenerative arthritis diagnosis- at the time she could hardly walk, stand, and even had trouble laying down comfortably but now shes moving so much better walking at ease and her limp is entirely gone. She will never be comfortable rid of her disease but with native pets products we are managing her diagnosis incredibly well.

I had never tried this before! Where have been? Native Pet worked well for my 14 year old pit bull terrier, we will be ordering this for her! She had an easier time getting up and down!
