Does plastic fasteners...

My dogs love a variety of toys but they all have their favorites. My oldest prefers the moose and hedgehogs, my youngest loves the natural toys (squirrels and ducks)

My dogs love a variety of toys but they all have their favorites. My oldest prefers the moose and hedgehogs, my youngest loves the natural toys (squirrels and ducks) and my middle child...she LOVES these lamb choppies. But I've got to tell you how much I hate them. Because of the teeny tiny little itty bitty plastic fasteners they use to attach the tags to the toy. First of all, the lamb is white. Why, for the love of Pete, can't they just use a colored plastic to fasten the tags to these things? At least then you'd stand a better chance of finding all the pieces in the lamb's white fur. Maybe make them a lot longer so that when you push on one end, the other end stands out far enough to be seen. Maybe take a note from the Marvin moose toys and use something thick enough that it's obvious. Maybe use 1 to attach the cardboard to the toy instead of 7 or 8 or 10. They are doubled up, 4 in main cardboard. Two in each front foot, two in each front leg and there's usually another tag in the rear of the toy. They are near impossible to get them all out. I've got my hands on them before I cut them and I find most of them but this current batch I couldn't find the other end of the ones in each of the left legs (bought 4 at once). I BEG the manufacturer of these to STOP using these plastic fasteners! PLEASE! We have friends who just lost their dog to one of these little plastic fasteners. They thought they got them all and the dog ended up eating one. It punctured his intestines and he was septic before they realized something was wrong. Imaging can't find these because they aren't metal. Poor dog died during the exploratory surgery and the vet finally found the plastic fastener during the necropsy. And people lose their body parts to these too. People step on these and get them embedded into their skin and the infection is slow to start, but once it gets going it festers and before you know it, it's in the bone and you're having a toe or portion of your foot amputated. I've seen it. It's not pretty. Please stop using these plastic fasteners to attach tags to these toys. Either that or make them longer...or use colored ones. I know they exist. I've seen them myself. Do something to be better.

Great for small dogs, too!

This toy is as big as my dog and she loves it! We had the smaller size and it held up well, but she squeaked on paw squeakers so much that they eventually got holes

This toy is as big as my dog and she loves it! We had the smaller size and it held up well, but she squeaked on paw squeakers so much that they eventually got holes. She also chewed off one ear, so it was time for a new one. I got the jumbo size because I thought it should be sturdier and less prone to being torn. Even though it is as big as she is, she absolutely loves it. She sits in front of the cabinet it is stored in and waits for me to get it out to play. She loves to play fetch with it, and the squeakers are just as much fun for her as they were in the smaller size.

Our new rescue dog, a Great Pyrenees has her first toy and "Lammy" goes everywhere with her. So far, this stuffed toy has held up well to some serious rough play and chewing without coming apart. The squeaker inside is big enough for Molly to squeeze which gets the shaking revved up even more. Molly will get another Lammy if this one ever gets torn up, but so far has been a sturdy toy that she loves to carry around when she's playing, and sleeps with when she's worn out.

My dog LOVES his Lambchop. He isn’t crazy about the smaller or the giant sized Lambchop, but the medium size lamb is the one he sleeps with, plays with, takes with him room to room, and carries in his mouth when going outside for a walk or to the vet. After a while, the lamb will burst a seam and stuffing will come out, so I will order several Lambchops at one time whenever I see that they are on sale, just to make sure that he never runs out of his favorite toy. I took him to a local store on his 9th birthday earlier this year in May and let him choose a toy he wanted. He looked at the bins full of toys, but wasn’t interested in any of them until we got to a bin with birthday Lambchops, which he immediately grabbed and carried it to the checkout counter with me. I’m not sure what it is about this toy, but he loves it so much and it makes him so happy.

I ordered a variety of toys for my new rescue because she didn’t like the tough nylon chew toys I had for my other dogs. Discovered she loves plushies, and this medium lamb is definitely her favorite. She has a couple stuffies of similar size, but this one is such a hit I am getting a couple backups. After 2 weeks it’s already pretty gross so we’ll be seeing how it does in the wash. Probably not great for chewers, but it’s not designed to be. She just likes to carry it around and sleep with it.

After almost a week, Lambchop has survived Trey. Lola loves resting her head on her Lambchop, her blanket covering both of them, and Lola falls asleep. Trey loves the squeaker, and so far, the squeaker is still inside Lambchop. Trey keeps his toy on the bed and only plays with Lambchop once we are all in bed and he has an audience. Trey has learned not to mess with Lola’s Lambchop. He’s a smart guy, a little slow, but he’s learned not to mess with Lola’s baby.

Mollie loves her Lambchops

Mollie picked out her first Lambchop herself for her bday present. She got the medium size. She carried it EVERYWHERE. Slept with it. Walked around with it. Cuddled it. After about 6 mos., it was looking pretty sad. We got her the giant one for Christmas, unsure what she would think about the size. She loved it, too! I couldn't get rid of the pitiful looking first one, though, because she still gave it lots of love, too. I'm ordering another one of that size now. I have had to redo a seam a couple of times, but I'm not complaining about that with a big dog that plays with it as much as she does.

Lamb Chop is the dog’s favorite toy. They love making it squeak and playing tug of war with it. The only downside is that it doesn’t hold up well when you have avid chewers, but it isn’t made for that and isn’t advertised as being made for chewing. It is a good quality toy and I will continue to buying it as long as it is sold. I also buy the small one for my little guy. He loves tossing it around and playing fetch with it. It does withstand “normal” play.

Mixed...great toy but odd details.

My dog loved her first lamb chop and after a year or two finally wore it out so I bought another one. She and I both like it, with the 5 squeakers. She doesnt tear

My dog loved her first lamb chop and after a year or two finally wore it out so I bought another one. She and I both like it, with the 5 squeakers. She doesnt tear her toys apart, so it lasts a long time but my prior dog would have torn it apart. Oddly, they put a sticker with a strong adhesive on the back (see photo) which is very hard to remove, and totally not necessary. What were they thinking! It's too close to the seam to use scissors. Also there is an odd little loop under the neck. To hang it up? I'm still glad I bought it since she likes it, but I wont buy another one until they either get rid of the sticker or tell me how to get it off!

The product itself is fine, but it’s not good for dogs because if a dog chews the leg off there is those little squeaky things they could be a hazard I would be nice if they could make this into more of a canvas material so it’s stronger and then dogs can’t tear it apart as easy. My dog already tore the leg off and I would need to see it back and keep it away from him now it’s so cute. I don’t want it to get completely ruined, but I don’t think it’s safe for big dogs.
