About This Item

Details

MODULIS for Cats is an oral solution of cyclosporine that lowers the immune response. MODULIS for Cats selectively acts on the immune cells involved in the allergic reaction. MODULIS for Cats reduces the inflammation and itching associated with allergic dermatitis. Cats with allergic dermatitis scratch, lick and chew their skin which can cause red, raised crusty bumps, open sores and/or hair loss. Allergic dermatitis is a common skin disease in cats and is caused by allergens such as house dust mites or pollens which stimulate an exaggerated immune response. The disease is chronic, recurrent, and requires lifelong management.

We directly source prescription medications from manufacturers and wholesale distributors registered with the FDA and licensed by applicable state boards. Guaranteed genuine, and where applicable, backed by the manufacturer.

We battled fur loss for years. My cat would chew and over groom her legs, inner thighs, and lower belly to the point of fur loss. We initially tried a prescription hydrolyzed diet and found that her diet wasn’t the issue. Blood work was fine, too. The only thing that helped is daily. My cat hates it and runs because she knows it’s coming, but it’s easy to administer orally once I catch her. The only downside is that my vet used to be able to get it (and for just $60) and now they cannot. Chewy is the only retailer that sells it now and they are charging double. It’s crazy to pay this price but we have no other choice. Chewy needs to reevaluate the pricing, otherwise my rating would be higher.

My Cat is Much Happier after Switching!

My cat needs to take cyclosporine regularly for his itchy skin allergies. He absolutely hated the taste of Atopica and it was always a struggle to give it to him

My cat needs to take cyclosporine regularly for his itchy skin allergies. He absolutely hated the taste of Atopica and it was always a struggle to give it to him. I had heard that Modulis was much more palatable and it sure seems to be, he does not cough and gag after each dose.

Unsure if it works as well as Atopica

Modulis is a generic of Atopica so a bit cheaper (although it’s 15ml vs 17ml - so price per ml isn’t a huge difference). What I really like is the port to draw up

Modulis is a generic of Atopica so a bit cheaper (although it’s 15ml vs 17ml - so price per ml isn’t a huge difference). What I really like is the port to draw up the medication is much better than the Atopica, I’m able to draw up all of it and none goes to waste. I’m not sure if it is an exact equivalent because my cat is starting to chew and scratch his stomach again. I will give it another month and decide if I need to switch back to Atopica. I will update my review when I know if this works as well (I’m hoping it does)

Tastes nasty, but helps

My cat HATES taking this and it’s hard to get him to do it, but it really helps with his vomiting and inflammation. And chewy always has the best prices!

This stuff is a miracle medicine!

My poor catto has been having the worst allergic reaction (we can’t figure out why) and steroids had quit helping. We tried special food, other creams and ointments, and nothing helped. His face was just open sores all over. In just a month on this almost all the spots have healed and he’s not miserable anymore!

Cheaper than Brand Name

My doctor said it’s the same as the brand but cheaper. She’s going to tell all her patience about getting it from Chewy.

Apparently TASTES NASTY

I'm now struggling to get my cat to take her other liquid med because this one tasted so bad. Didn't fix the problem either.

Ease of dispensing

I don't think he loves the taste but he is tolerating it.
