If red dye 40 and blue 1 are known carcinogens and unhealthy for people and no longer allowed for people; why are they included in this product? Why don’t you use natural vegetable dye like beet juice? My dogs love this product and I buy it monthly in bulk. I don’t understand why the dye is there.

I know I am supposed to be reviewing this item and I will always trust these treats , they were given to my other babies and they were here for 16 years, Sorry they won’t let me go in and do another review on Blue Buffalo, yes I had given a 5 star , my JJ loved them but I started noticing a difference, blood shot eyes , just laying around, , I trashed the other bag I had bought and within a few days he was back , I will always stay with these treats and pup a roni which have been around for years, I love my baby and he’s treated as family so never again with Blue Buffalo

I ordered one of these about six weeks prior and my dogs (I have 2 of my own and a foster) loved getting 1-2 for coming inside when called. I gave my daughter a small container for her dog as she liked them too when I was dog-sitting. So I ordered another when my jar was getting low. The new ones are noticeably darker and a bit smaller. My tzu mix, who I admit is more picky in general, refuses to eat them. I looked to make sure I didn’t accidentally order some flavored version - they are the same. I even smelled them and no flavor smell. If anything they smell like maybe the Milkbone Company over-cooked them. The other two dogs are still happy to eat them so I guess that is ok. If I buy these again I will likely go to a pet store where I can see them first. This isn’t Chewy’s fault. I just felt it was worth noting that the quality control at Milkbone company is lacking a bit.

When we first picked up our fur baby from the breeder.and drove him 12 hours home, he loved these treats. Even now, 6 years later, he still loves them consistently

He always loves these no matter what. When I get out chips to watch a movie, I get him out his marrow treats, and we snack together. ;)
