Ari suffered with so many scabs and itching all over his body. I learned that rabbit based food was worth trying but this was the only one that helped me gain quick recovery. I am so impressed. He loves eating it and his scabs are almost all gone and it's only been about 2 weeks on this new food. I know he is feeling better because he is no longer hiding all day and sprawls out in the open to hang out with the family. I'm so happy.

I give this a 4 star because my cat actually eats it! Chicken is the 2nd protein, but there is enough rabbit that he forgets he hates chicken. If we talk pure manufacturing, I would give 2.5 stars, but I don't want to skew the average. Sometimes it's moist, sometimes dry, sometimes overcooked (dark and smells burned - he gets 'over' these batches much quicker, so I've never had a consistent auto-renew yet!) The cans have gotten thinner by about 1/2. I'm OK with cutting cost in ok areas (like C-level salaries/perks & smart mfg). Maybe the canning decision prevented (further) cuts in food quality. Less steel (tho it's more of an alloy now) , less recycle, but the thinner cans don't hold up to summer/winter weather. They 'pop' after delivered and aclimating to room temperature. Also from am to pm when I turn off ac/heat. This last batch was dry or grainy, though *seemed* moist with extra gravy. Yet note the included photo to see how the formula consistency changes show up with the mfg process. Thank you Chewy for offering 3oz cans now! Not the most cost effective I know. But when buying cases at a time, getting enough variety for a typical picky cat adds up quick!!

Marco and Bella Absolutely love purrfect Bistro Rabbit moist cat food. They also love the Duck and Turkey. I a so glad I switched to this cat food. My sensitive tummy Bella loves this food and no more throwing up or licking the food and walking away. she actually eats normal now by chewing away half of the moist food rests and then goes back to it. I heard that Merrick might be changing some of their formulas--gosh I hope not!!!! They are going to make a huge mistake if they change this Purrfect Bistro Rabbit, Duck and Turkey recipe. Please do not change this!!!!!

This was Hazel’s favorite food. I knew when I opened my Chewy box and the tray size and label on the can were different, might be a change. Yep when I opened her can a this gelatinous loaf popped out I knew was in trouble. Put the rabbit loaf in her dish and she sniffed it and walked away, will not eat this substance. This food does not look like meat it looks ultra processed. I spent close to $80 on this order only to have 47 unopened cans of rabbit sitting in my basement. Now what? The old formula was our cats favorite food. I hope you can find a way to offer the old recipe, Hazelnut and I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you, Randy Epperson.

I had been feeding the Purrfect Bistro rabbit flavor to my cat with food allergies and it was great. Recently Merrick discontinued the large cans and changed the formula. Now my cat turns her nose up at it. There are new ingredients including cranberries. I am stuck now trying to find a nonprescription rabbit food that my cat will accept. It is frustrating when pet food companies make these changes but label it as the original recipe.

This is one food that both my cats consistently eat. And there aren't many that check that box. Unfortunately they recently reformulated and changed their packaging slightly. Before the pate fully filled the can, now there are big gaps where the pate doesn't reach the edges. I'll attach a picture to demonstrate. This is across flavors since the reformulation. So I'll continue to buy it because my cats like it, but I'm disappointed with how they've changed it. Seems like a bit of a rip off. Same price, less food.

MmI bought this food for my cat after her plain rabbit food from Instinct was out of stock. My cat loves this stuff and scarfs it down. However, it's been about 3-4 weeks since starting it and she's suddenly having urinary issues. The vet said they found crystals in her urine and she may need to go on a special diet now. My cat has never had any issues before until I switched. If it is this food then I'm very disappointed but hey it could also just be a coincidence. 3 stars still because she loved it so much.

I purchased this food because my cat had a possible IBD diagnosis we were watching since she was having a pancreatitis bought. Her pancreatitis was clearing up and she was loving the Rabbit Recipe and it didn't bother her bowels but I started to notice that her kidney values were going up every 2 weeks when she was having bloodwork done for the past 3 months as well as her intestines were now showing inflammation that wasn't present for the pancreatitis. My cat loves this flavor so much but I can't continue feeding it to her and am searching for a much healthier alternative. It has HUGE pieces of sharp bone shards in it. I spend over 5 mins smoothing it out trying to find as many bones as I can before feeding it to her until I can completely switch her from this food. The Phosphorus levels in a dry matter basis are also one of the highest out there which isn't great for her kidney's. We're trying Nature's Logic Rabbit now and hoping she loves it enough to not want Merrick's Rabbit Pate anymore because I don't think it's great for cats. They need to work on their recipe and improve it to make it healthier.
