The Best for my senior terrier

My dog is 14 and has arthritis in his hips. He ate Nutro brand kibble for 12 years until one day 2 years ago they were out of the senior Nutro at the pet supply store and I got this instead. I'm so glad I did! My dog loved it right away (he is a very picky eater) and within 2 weeks of introducing the food HE STOPPED LIMPING. The quality ingredients of this food improved my senior dog's quality of life 100-fold! Truly amazing-he started acting like his younger self with more energy, no limping and eating with gusto. He responded so well to the change that I now also feed him exclusively this kibble and the Little Plates wet food (which he also loves).

My 18 year old 4 pound yorky likes it. Tribble is extremely picky and has a lot of allergies and a sensitive stomach. But this food is working. The kibble is absolutely tiny which is perfect for my old man.Tribble eats a canned food as his main source but I wanted to offer a dry food to encourage any snacking I could to try and get as much food as possible in him. He likes this food so much he snacks on it often. I think it's really going to help me keep him healthy.

I spent hours researching which dog food might be best for my aging chihuahuas and decided on this one for several reasons; high protein content, the presence of high amounts of glucosamine and Chondroitin, the inclusion of L-Carnitine and the lower calorie count. I also love how small the bits are as I no longer have to worry about if my guy with missing teeth can properly chew it. The dogs seem to really like the food, as well. I highly recommend this food.

Lemme' tell ya'. First of all I have a little Shitzu Llaso Apso mix. She's had some dental work and lost some teeth. It's soooo important that she have small kibbles and a diet designed for her age. I've tested and tried many - and this particular dog food is her favorite. I admit, we do give her a little bone broth drizzled on it, so she has an easier time chewing. Bottom line, she's at healthy weight, doesn't seem to have as bad of breathe/caking on her teeth now, eating mostly dry food with broth and no wet messy canned stuff, which all of them love I know. Anyway - it's the kibble size, that's so important. So many of the lil' kibble products 'for senior dogs'.... don't come in large bags. Nor do many stores consistently restock this item. I'm so tired of chasing around trying to find reliable suppliers. If you're like me, I hate this hit and miss thing going on everywhere, for every thing. I have to go to so many stores as it is, just to get the products I like for us humans. I applaud Chewy for just being there, one click and a few days to delivery and voila'.... it's here. "That works for me!"

She no longer picks up kibble and walks away! She stands at her bowl and eats her meals! She loves it! We added it to our auto delivery! Thank you Chewy and Merrick for having what a dog....in all stages of life....need!
SENIOR DOXIE W/SENSITIVE STOMACH & ALLERGIES

Our Doxies had gotten used to Hills Science Diet for Sensitive Stomach and we must have gotten a bad batch the last case, continuous vomit & causing painful seizures ! Very concerned went to a couple local pet Stores to find that they are dropping Hills & Science Diet Products! They both steered me to this brand so I did some research on my own! Seems as Doxies age they need to have smallest of small kibble as well as better ingredients! Our Harper licks his from legs a lot, I always thought it was from pain from jumping up, down and all around! He's 13, but with his last 9 years of seizures probably closer to 16 (they take a lot out of him), anyway a sharp Veterinarian noticed his licking and said she would bet he has some allergy issues! This last month of chucking up the Science Diet his eyes are very watery, I figured for pain issues! But probably issues w/allergies! So we went and got the bag like the above only yellow trim! (as they didn't have the small kibble for seniors small breed that I could find) LIL PLATES REAL CHIX +Sweet Potato Recipe 70/30 blend ! The Pet Stores (God Love Them) are expensive, so $20 for a 4 pound bag for an unemployed middle aged guy going to School w/o any Gov or Veteran Administration Assistance is a lot of $$ for dog food for about 2 weeks, especially since we mix it with the same brand $3.99 a can for Wet Dog Food! Anyway, feeding him a mixture of the both of 2-3 tablespoons every 90 mins in the AM and then again in early evening to see if he can keep it down w/o vomiting! Harper & I been through a lot since we lost my first wife to Leukemia together 13 years ago :-( I'll be pretty devastated the day we have to part. We have found a wonderful lady to step in for his new Mom and my New Bride, actually I'm kinda jealous of how they have taken to each other and I get left out on snuggle time! Anyway, God Be With All Of You that cherish these wonderful gifts we call pets from our Good Lord! Thank You Chewy for offering quality products at more reasonable prices. M C

My dog has allergies and this food has been a great alternative to the $100 prescription bag we used to buy. However, today I received yet another bag that had a faulty closure on the bag. Typically it has a velcro-like closing which is great to keep the bag closed and the food fresh. My dog is small so it takes about 6 weeks to get through the bag and if I can't close it, by the end it is stale or that mushy consistency from the humidity. Once or twice I could handle but now it's more and more. Not happy at all with that flaw
