I found my cat in this bed, upside down. I’m not sure he could figure how to get out. He couldn’t suffocate in this, could he?

Has anyone washed one of these beds? I'm interested in knowing how long it took to dry and whether cat hair (short haired cat hair) stuck to the inside.

Typically, wool takes about 12-18 hours to dry completely. If doing a total washing, please hand wash in cold water with wool detergent and air dry. Slight reshaping may be required to maintain good form. It's not recommended to machine wash as it will decrease lifespan of cat cave. When spot cleaning, it's best to use cold water and a soft cloth. When light cleaning, we recommend using a vacuum to remove debris and hair.

Is the medium wool cave big enough for a 10 lb cat?

The medium size cave can accommodate cats up to 12 pounds and large can accommodate cats up to 20 pounds.

I live in Florida, wondering if this cat cave would be too warm for my cats? They are both domestic short hairs.

I was actually feeling nervous about buying this cat cave because it is a little on the pricey side, but I figured the effort that goes into making these was well worth the money. My cat isn’t very picky when it comes to toys, trees, and such; but every bed/nest I’ve bought him has never seemed to fit his standards, (nothing I shouldn’t expect from my spoiled boy) but as soon as I got this out of the box and bag he was ready to get in it, which is a huge deal for us because usually I can barely get him to go inside the cat-tree dens. Not even ones with larger openings, no amount of cat nip, silvervine, or churu was going to get him in there I had figured he just didn’t want to be inside small spaces so I had basically given up on getting him beds completely- but I got this anyway as a sort of last resort because I know how healthy it is for cats to have a safe-space to go when they feel stressed or overwhelmed- and this bed was the one. I didn’t have to do anything! He was ready to lay inside it as soon as it puffed up! While I understand every cat will have different preferences; in my humble opinion, I completely believe this product is well worth the money if you have a cat like mine- I’ll admit I was doubtful my baby would even touch this cave, but I was delightfully mistaken. Keeps its shape!

This bed was a big hit with both of my cats and I‘ll definitely be getting another in the larger size in the near future. It’s kept its shape beautifully so far!

This bed was a big hit with both of my cats and I‘ll definitely be getting another in the larger size in the near future. It’s kept its shape beautifully so far! Other wool cave beds I’ve tried collapsed pretty quickly. The wool on this bed is thick and sturdy, so I think it would really take a while to start collapsing, if ever. They love rolling around in it like a hamster ball almost as much as they love sleeping in it! And I love that it comes in so many colors, especially one that coordinates with my kittens a little :)

I like it natural looking. It’s natural material so it looks good regardless. So happy! SIZE wise my cat is medium and the Medium fit her PERFECTLY!! It’s spacious inside!

I was looking for something the cats could lounge in that wasn't a cardboard box. As soon as I opened up the Chewy box with the wool cat cave, Peppercorn jumped inside. He took to it immediately. A few minutes later my other cat Griffin came over to investigate and jumped right in. Griffin likes to pluck the inside of the cave and play with the lovely wool ball toy. We got the emarld green which goes nicely with the living room rug and furniture.

I tossed a treat inside to entice him to explore, after that, he went on his own and has been hanging inside the cat cave every evening while we watch tv. It’s nicely made with high quality materials. It comes packed flat but you can reshape it very quickly by stuffing a towel inside. Bonus gift, it comes with a cute little bag made out of the same material as the cave and a coupon for more balls if you feel inclined to purchase some. But later when she was under the weather she finally embraced it as a cozy hiding place. Five stars despite not getting much use because this bed is beautifully constructed. The wool felt is high quality, soft yet sturdy, strong enough to lift with the cat inside. It's much more durable than it looks. Ours came with a free wool ball toy that's also very well made.

I’ve reviewed these beds in the past. I redecorated and couldn’t take the clashing prints off the boys older wool beds. ( ADHD) We got two in the snow leopard-ish print and, of course, they’re great. A cat rescue opened in my town, so the older beds went there where I’m sure they’ll be loved for years to come. These are great!
