Mazuri Ferret Food, 5-lb bag

I was confident that my boys would love this new kibble, as it was the perfect size kibble for them. However, they only snacked lightly on it, and that is when I put salmon oil on it. I think the reason being is that ferrets imprint on their food, and since they have been eating the same kibble for 2 years, they were not as inclined to try a new food. My ferrets are very picky overall, and only one of the 2 will eat any sort of treat. However, with that said, the kibble has very good ingredients for the ferrets, and I have now mixed it with their current kibble in effort for them to acquire a taste for a new food.

My ferret really enjoyed this food. It's the same price I was paying for her other brand. Ingredients are much the same as well. The only difference is mazuri has 3% less protein. It doesn't have any odor like some pet foods can have. There were no negative affects to my ferret while she was eating it. Overall I'd say this is a good choice for a ferret.

Since they doubled the price and changed the recipe all of my babies have lost weight and are lethargic and now we have to have them on a special diet to try and nurse them back to health. I've used this brand for years and had no issues all my babies were happy and healthy that's why I was willing to still pay the EXTREME hike in price. PLEASE anyone who loves their carpet sharks as much as I know you do, don't buy this brand anymore. It's just dangerous. Honestly I'm surprised Chewy is still supporting selling this food after so many scary reviews.

If you have ferrets, you know how picky they can be. But my girl fell in love with the new food right away! As I was unpacking it, she couldn’t wait—she snatched a few pellets and ran off to her favorite hiding spot to enjoy them.
