Lyric Fine Tunes No Waste Mix Wild Bird Food, 15-lb bag

I've been buying this bird seed for a few years and my other birding friends started using it because it was excellent quality seed and there was no waste in our yards. Past several bags have been awful and even the starlings won't eat it. Pretty bad when those guys won't touch your stuff. For some reason they won't even eat the sunflower chips in this which is baffling to me. Also you can see the burnt looking pistachios or whatever they are that the birds also won't eat now. This is not cheap food, but Lyric has cheaped out like many other companies these days. Super disappointed and this last bag I bought will be my LAST bag of Lyric products. I am really sad because I would only buy Lyric seed formulas. Now I gotta go look and see if there are any companies out there who still put out quality products without increasing prices on awful quality food. At least warn people that you changed the ingredients.

This used to be a great mix and I’ve been buying it for the last four years and my birds have always devoured it. This new bag seems like the percentage of millet has gone up to about 75%. I filled the feeder this morning and normally in the course of a day they would have emptied it, but when I got home only about a quarter of the tube was empty. They have definitely voted with their beaks and I will never be buying this brand again.

When I first received this bird food, I didn't have very high hopes. I noticed that there was a lot of orange nut pieces which I still have no idea what it is. But I was proven wrong. The birds absolutely love this stuff. Usually the bluebirds stick to my mealworm feeder but even they were chomping down on it at the feeder. I even got a couple of red-breasted grosbeaks which are not very common in my area. But... There was a down side. It was so good that I literally had a flock of starlings eating all the food and scaring all my other birds away. The bag was literally gone in a week. But I can also say that Chewy has the lowest price on this bird food that I can find so thanks for that. I will still give this product 5 stars and look into a starling/grackle proof feeder.

I purchased this bird seed because they stated that it was waste free and small pieces. Nothing small about it at all! No millet. It looked like a coarse grind of only nuts like granola. The feed was huge! There was no way the wild birds would be able to eat it. The big pieces clogged up my bird feeder and what did manage to come out, ended up on the ground. What fell, got all wet and puffed up. What a mess. I was constantly clearing the area under the feeder because I did not wish to attract undesirable ground feeders to my patio. After 2 days of birds not eating and me using the leaf blower to clear the uneaten food, I cleaned my feeder and changed to a perfect blend that they love and don't throw on the ground. I will never order this product again. Wish I had taken photos before I cleaned it all up thew the rest away.
