Hari Spray Millet, 17.6-oz bag

Every product bag comes with a hole in it. Furthermore, there is zero seal to lock-in freshness and to keep the product safe from contamination. The product bag has a pre-punched hole at the top of the bag, so that the product can be easily hung on store shelves. The problem is that this pre-punched hole at the top of the product bag leaves the product exposed to environmental contamination and also makes it easier for the product to lose its freshness, and also allows the loose millet from the product to fall out everywhere in the shipping box. I'm pretty upset because I refuse to feed my birds something that I wouldn't eat myself. When I took the bag out of the Chewy shipping box, the first thing that I noticed was this hole at the top of the bag along with a bunch of millet seed all over my other items, and there was also millet somehow sticking out of the hole in the top of the bag...leaving the millet touching all of the other products in my Chewy box (millet that my birds are supposed to eat)...and I doubt that the other items in my Chewy box are clean enough to eat off of. In other words, some of the "fresh millet" that was sticking out of the hole at the top of this millet food bag and the millet was rubbing all over the dirty shipping box and rubbing all over dirty non-food items that I purchased. I'm sure that some people aren't as picky as me and don't mind feeding their bird something like this...but personally I would never serve my birds (or myself) ANY food that was not delivered to me COMPLETELY sealed to preserve freshness and to avoid any food contamination. Seriously...bugs can easily get into holes in food bags, the food can dry out or get moldy and damp depending on shipping and warehouse conditions, the food falls out of the holes, etc, etc, etc...where is the logic? Food product = seal it completely! You want to make it easy to for stores to hang your product up? Slap a plastic sticker with a shelf-hanger onto the bag! Poor product bag design for what could otherwise have been a decent millet product. I wont be feeding this to my birds though. This is the first millet product I've ever purchased for my birds that wasn't completely sealed. I wont buy this one again.

This was my first and last time buying this Millet. The Millet was actually compressed into the seal of the packaging. It was old, small, and seedless and signs of mold. The expiration date was 8/15/28 three years away, I wonder how long this sat on the shelf before it was sold. I tried to take a few pieces out that didn't look as bad and my birds refused to eat them.

I have 3 Parakeets and one Cocktail that love the freshness of this millet. Chewy is the only place I have been able to find these large bags of millet. The strands are so full and fresh that my birds just eat it up. I recommend this millet and Chewy for their discounted recurring shipments of my animals food, toys and every day necessities!

My friends cockatiel loved the millets. They arrived very timely. That’s why I love Chewy. My standard poodle loved the treats I purchased. I will always be grateful for Chewy being a top notch company. Thank you Chewy from my Samantha and myself.
