This is actually a 3-in-one light: a mini-flashlight, a small (but now real strong) UV light, and the classic “red-dot” laser pointer. It has a flashlight-style sliding switch instead of that button that you press and hold down. (YAY! No more hand cramping!) slide the switch forward one spot, you get the mini-flashlight. Slide to the second position, the UV lamp. Slide all the way forward and you get the laser point. The end cap has a little hand lanyard on it. That cap unscrews and reveals a USB-A plug to charge the device. This is a rather interesting laser pointer.

When Bailey's previous laser light had lost its luster for night-time laser play, I knew I needed to get a new one for her. And I purchased Litterbox.com's Rechargeable Laser Pointer Cat Toy earlier this month. She absolutely loves it. You don't have to worry about buying a new battery, when you recharge it with your USB cable. A life-safer! I love how it has a blacklight and a flashlight feature along with the red laser light. Perfect for night and day-time play. Bailey takes off like a bullet when she runs along the hallway. You'll love it.

The problem really lies within how big the red dot is, she sometimes has a hard time tracking it on our carpet, especially darker carpets. This lil gadget is bright and big! She absolutely loves it. My hands also love it because I don't have to hold down a button, if you've used cheap laser pointers you know how holding that little nob of a button can hurt over time. The cool thing about this pointer is it has a flash light and a black light on it! It's just super handy! It also has a built in USB port that you can find from unscrewing the top! Super handy, super awesome and my cat loves it!

My cats are attracted to the red dot! I used to play this with them all the time so they would get running and burn some calories. My granddaughter was upset about this because she read this cat chasing red dot is actually tormenting the cat because they don't actually get a result to the chase. So I stopped but found the cats were actually missing the game. Now I play red dot but I make sure if the cat actually does reach the end, I give a treat. The one real good use I found with this laser is the recharge capability. It helps save on batteries. Also this laser will help you if your cat decides to escape to the outside world. If it is night I will use this outside and when the rascal sees the red dot that ends the adventure because I will lead the rascal inside. It never failed yet. I don't like my cats outside unless they are on their leash. Safety first is my motto.

This product has been an absolute game changer. Before I got this, I was constantly buying new laser pointers and batteries every other week or so. My cat Astrid loves laser pointers and wears them down almost faster than I can replace them. So when I found out you can get rechargeable laser pointers, I knew what i had to buy. This has been one of the best purchases of my life. I love the flash light and black light functions as well, but the laser has to be the best part. It's bright and powerful and easily holds Astrid's attention. She gets so excited during play sessions she's zoomed all over the house. I haven't seen this level of zoomies since the time I bought her a little toy slice of pizza when she turned one and she zipped around carrying it in her mouth around the house.

Also, there is a blue light And a flashlight options on that same switch. The flashlight is quite bright! And, so far, I have found it to be an even better and more convenient flashlight than the one on my phone! Of course my cats Love the laser light. But again, my favorite aspect of this particular laser light is the fact that you don't have to keep your thumb or a finger on the switch in our to make the laser light come on and stay on. That makes this particular laser pointer the Best one, in My opinion, that I've ever used or even seen! My cats and I love it!!

My cat is a little bit addicted to the laser pointer. I used to buy the little battery powered ones from the dollar store or grocery check out line but they never lasted more than a play session or two before they broke or the light got too dim to hold his attention. This rechargable laser pointer has been a game changer. First of all it's rechargeable, so I don't have to worry about replacing batteries. Second, the bulbs are long lasting, and there are more than just the laser bulb, there are both a regular flash light and a black light bulb so this one gadget is multifunctional. And most importantly to me, the laser is controlled by a switch instead of a button, so I can turn it on once and go to town without having to worry about finger or grip strength shortening our play time. Overall I am very pleased with this rechargable laser pointer and highly recommend it for anyone with a pet who loves to chase the red dot.

One suggestion to future buyer's of this product. Try to cough as loudly AS you can while your turning on the light, lol. Why, you ask? Well our cat's get "used" to hear certain sounds, like the can opener, the treat box being opened etc., and they'll get use to that soft click also. So my 2 cat's Shuga & GG have no idea when that dang buggy will appear next! Great product because you buy it ONCE and it's RECHARGEABLE!!! Not like certain dollar products that I've literally bought 8 of them, breaking ever time! I saw this product n jumped on it...now my cat's are jumping for joy!

My kitten who’s about 9 months old LOVED it. Too much. She would look for it for thirty minutes after play had ended, even when I attempted to put the point on toys so she could “catch it” or when I tried to transition play to obtainable objects. I was getting a little wary of it, and then she started heavily panting during a short play session. We will not be using the laser pointer anymore, but I wanted to share my experience so others can make an informed decision about whether or not it will be right for their cat. Midna has an insanely high prey drive and is very high energy, so maybe if your cat is like that avoid it and pick something else.
