What is the difference between the Kong Cross Knots and Kong Wild Knots?

Answer by ChewyMay 29, 2018
KONG Wild Knots are soft and cuddly on the outside while durable and strong on the inside. The internal knotted rope and squeaker of the KONG Cross Knots satisfies natural instincts and each toy contains less stuffing for less mess.

Good for Mini Aussie Velociraptor Puppy

I wasn’t sure about this bear at first because my mini Aussie pup severed its ear off in five minutes, but it has turned out to be tougher than it first appeared

I wasn’t sure about this bear at first because my mini Aussie pup severed its ear off in five minutes, but it has turned out to be tougher than it first appeared. He has gnawed the arm off so it has one rope arm which has been fantastic for tug of war. As long as I pull out the reachable stuffing he’s a happy boy.

Both dogs received a bear, the Golden-Siberian Husky an extra large and the Treeing Walker Coonhound a large. Each dog greatly enjoyed their bears. The Goberian had the head opened and stuffing out soon after receiving it but the body held up and remained intact. The Coonhound is still carrying his around and sleeping with it, after dismantling the squeaker:-)

Bought this for our lab, Buddy. While it seems well built it didn’t make it 24 hours :-(. He immediately took to opening up a hole. Out came the squeeker, Temple of Doom style. Next he pulled the ropes as though reenacting the Braveheart torture scene. Although I didn’t hear any cries of “Freedom!” from the bear. He still loves it and carries it around, the little sicko that he is. Alas, our mission to find an indestructible bear continues.

Why are there no large, REALLY TOUGH toys for German Shepherds??

My poor kids (one boy and one girl) have only bits of toys to play with. The toughest toys have holes in them from their teeth (most I have tried sewing to prolong the usefulness). The Jolly ball had to be tossed because my 'little' girl (who only weighs 60 pounds) literally destroyed it and kept getting her teeth stuck in it. My 100+pound boy loves tug of war and every toy he gets going with begins to come apart in minutes. I can feel things giving way when I just hold one end and he pulls. He feels I don't love him because I can't play with him and his favorite toy. Kong, or SOMEBODY please remember the big kids when you design toys. My kids haven't had a plush toy more than once . They like them, but in seconds I have toy stuffing and whatnot all over the place!

The only soft toy I’ll ever get!

My pittie is a big chewer - and I mean BIG. Every “indestructible” toy is destroyed easily. Besides black kongs and a gigantic rubber squeaky ball, he destroys anything softer than nylon in less than 5 minutes. Antlers are a joke. I replace his nylabones monthly. Yet for some reason, he is so in love with this toy he will not “kill” it. I think the ropes inside as well as the squeaky makes him want to chew it with his whole mouth, rather than shred with his front teeth. He loves to present it to me when I get home from work, and carry it around like he’s showing it off. When he loses it, he panics and goes digging in the blankets. This dog has never been super attached to one single toy like this, so this is a big deal for me and absolutely adorable. 100% would recommend, though every chewer is different. I have found it helpful to order the larger sized toys even though he is only 65# simply because of the fact that he will destroy anything that easily fits in his mouth, so I highly recommend that strategy to big chewers. They may look silly chewing on a giant bone or bear, but it lasts twice as long.

BEST CHEW TOY EVER

I have a Lab who is the most destructive toy killer I’ve ever seen!!!!! Most toys (and lets be honest.... anything she can get) stand zero chance of a 2nd play date

I have a Lab who is the most destructive toy killer I’ve ever seen!!!!! Most toys (and lets be honest.... anything she can get) stand zero chance of a 2nd play date invitation. She once chewed up a medium sized heavy duty retractable leash!! I couldn’t even identify what the million tiny hard pieces of plastic were until I saw color and remembered leaving it on top of her crate (in my defense, we had just rescued her and didn’t know she was that mischievous lol) I am beyond grateful she is only a chewer and doesn’t ingest anything! Fast forward a year of destroyed toys and beds and I had given up!!! Decided to take a chance on this great deal and WHOA am I glad I did!!!! It’s been over a month and she LOVES this bear and it has held up like a pro!!!! She ripped off the ears lol and managed to get a small hole in the back and pull at the rope inside but even with that it remains the hardiest chew toy I’ve ever seen!!!! 10Stars!!

My dog plays rough! Most toy animals lose their ears within the first two minutes of play, then their stuffing is pulled out and distributed all over my house. Apparently, these are Mara’s goals for every animal toy she sees. Once these goals have been met she’s no longer interested and the poor little animal sits in the toy bin, never to played with again. But I have to tell you, Mr Bear is doing amazingly well and has held up great so far! Even his little ears are still hanging tough! Best part is the rope inside makes it harder for her to chew through the outer layer, giving Mr Bear a much better chance of surviving around here. She even sleeps with him :) P.S. I will update this review if anything changes, and of course once Mr Bear passes away. I’m sure y’all would like to be invited to the memorial service.

One of our 8 lb dog’s favorite toys! She carries it around the house and after removing the ears (she will chew on them until they come off), it’s the safest toy we can leave in her crate. Daisy Grace loves to tug, chew the squeaker, lick the fur, and play fetch with the bear (small size). It’s over 6 months old and holding up extremely well. I got another one as backup!
