KONG Extreme Dog Toy, Large

This is the only toy Amadeus has not torn to shreds. Although, be careful of toes and other small animals - it is quite heavy and does hurt when it's tossed at your feet by your furry friend. Will definitely order more of the Kong Extreme line after this. I do wish they came in other colors though, so they could be more visible outside. After a week, there are still no punctures or tears, which is the longest a toy has lasted around our power chewer.

Spent a few more dollars for the *Extreme* version and also bought a regular large kong at the same time. Not a noticeable difference. I fill layers of pureed carrots, pumpkin, pb and a couple training bite size treats and freeze them. BOTH dogs are crazy for them but they walk away from the Kong once they get the filling. So the Extreme, at least for my pup, is wasted but it is a bit heavier than the regular version so if your dog chews on the Kong itself, that may matter.

Rocky 75# Male Pitty struggles to bite down on this one more than the large size. I wish it was a bright color because he loved to hid it under things like the bed/ couch for me to find. Overall it is a solid toy. He loves it. Kong in my opinion makes a great product. We also love their collar and leash combo.

I have purchased a few of these in a couple of sizes and so far only one dog has ever succeeded in damaging one (I own two dogs and have fostered multiple others). I keep a couple in rotation because filling and freezing them helps keep them busy when I leave. Like any toy, it’s important to supervise especially in the beginning, but Kongs are one of two products I trust won’t end up destroyed or partially digested by my dogs ( may vary by dog/use/situation).
