Needless to say from the title my girl was excited for this food and treat combo! She clearly thought it smelled amazing but what I as her mom like about the product are the ingredients quality, chicken allergy friendly, kibble size is good for a medium to large breed and its for all life stages! I think the unique thing about the kibble is that the freeze dried bits are a different protein than the kibble so that variety could be enticing to the picky eater! The Nugs are a great compliment to the food and are the same protein carb combo, beef and sweet potato, they are perfect for training size and good calorie to dog size ratio. For my 65lb boxer she can have 24! Which for training is great!

The ingredient list definitely makes this a promising food. However, the price being north of $75 for a 19lb bag is quite the ask for our medium/large, voracious dog. And there seems, to me at least, an overlooked issue of varying weight with the two types of kibble. While integrating this food with our dogs current kibble, I would only get one or none of the beef/sweet potato kibble. I’m assuming it has settled in the bottom of the bag. Either that, or there’s way less of it than the food packaging implies. I will say this; the lack of any bean or pea in the ingredients is a huge plus. Our dog will occasionally get a little farty, and even though we never got past a half-and-half mixture with her regular food, we noticed zero farts during that time. But with the cost being $4 a pound, we’ll stick to our current preferred food, and the occasional flatulence, until a better, cost effective solution is found.
