Kismet Gut Health Chicken & Barley Recipe with Probiotics & Freeze-Dried Nugs Dry Dog Food, 9-lb bag

Cebu, my 80-lbs Great Pyrenees mix, absolutely LOVES this food! I have previously tried several different foods, always with nutrition and health as the primary goal. For his part, Cebu approves of most. But Kismet exceeds. I am impressed that it was developed by dog lovers in partnership with board certified vet nutritionists, and every sale benefits a dog in need. I’m really impressed that it contains real chicken or salmon, nutrient rich superfoods, pre & probiotics, and essential vitamins and minerals. It even has beet pulp, sweet potato, carrots, kale, apples, cranberries, and rosemary extract. In other words, everything a canine family member needs and nothing they don’t. With three other choices at mealtime, Cebu goes straight to the Kismet bag and stands beside it. He gets excited as I prepare his meal, as though he’s getting his favorite treat. I am very happy he’s very happy and that it’s so very good for him!

Super picky, with a sensitive stomach is how I would describe our 80lb dog when it comes to his food. We have tried a numerous dog foods, including veterinary prescription diets, only to have to return or give away due to digestion issues or he simply would refuse them. When I read the ingredient list for Kismet Chicken and Barley with Freeze-Dried Nuggets, we decided to try it for Mr. Picky Palette. Kismet Chicken and Barley includes pre and probiotics, as well as freeze dried chicken/sweet potato nuggets. We also like the fact that this food has grains (barley) to help prevent heart disease. But best of all he LOVES it!

Upon opening the bag this kibble had a very good scent of chicken to it and the kibble had a rich texture. There are freeze-dried nuggets, although there were not many of them. It's possible that during shipping they migrated to the bottom of the bag. I have pugs so taste testing is easy with them. They liked this product a lot and I have been using it as a special treat for them. No complaints from them. I have fed it dry and also softened with water for my special needs pug.
