Cebu, my 80-lbs Great Pyrenees mix, absolutely LOVES this food! I have previously tried several different foods, always with nutrition and health as the primary goal. For his part, Cebu approves of most. But Kismet exceeds. I am impressed that it was developed by dog lovers in partnership with board certified vet nutritionists, and every sale benefits a dog in need. I’m really impressed that it contains real chicken or salmon, nutrient rich superfoods, pre & probiotics, and essential vitamins and minerals. It even has beet pulp, sweet potato, carrots, kale, apples, cranberries, and rosemary extract. In other words, everything a canine family member needs and nothing they don’t. With three other choices at mealtime, Cebu goes straight to the Kismet bag and stands beside it. He gets excited as I prepare his meal, as though he’s getting his favorite treat. I am very happy he’s very happy and that it’s so very good for him!

Super picky, with a sensitive stomach is how I would describe our 80lb dog when it comes to his food. We have tried a numerous dog foods, including veterinary prescription diets, only to have to return or give away due to digestion issues or he simply would refuse them. When I read the ingredient list for Kismet Chicken and Barley with Freeze-Dried Nuggets, we decided to try it for Mr. Picky Palette. Kismet Chicken and Barley includes pre and probiotics, as well as freeze dried chicken/sweet potato nuggets. We also like the fact that this food has grains (barley) to help prevent heart disease. But best of all he LOVES it!

Upon opening the bag this kibble had a very good scent of chicken to it and the kibble had a rich texture. There are freeze-dried nuggets, although there were not many of them. It's possible that during shipping they migrated to the bottom of the bag. I have pugs so taste testing is easy with them. They liked this product a lot and I have been using it as a special treat for them. No complaints from them. I have fed it dry and also softened with water for my special needs pug.

We were initially turned on to kismet food and snacks through our vet. Our dog (Marlo 6yr old frenchie) has always been a picky eater partially my fault as when he was young I spoiled him with human food. Tried many many brands over the years and never found “the one”. So far Kismet has been a home run. Marlo loves it, the food doesn’t smell up the kitchen, and his stools have been nice and solid. The snacks are great too. So happy it’s finally available on chewy. Highly recommend!!

Kismet has made Leo (11 months old) so much happier. He loves this innovative kibble. He turned his nose up at other dry foods. Before Kismet, his stomach was having issues and he had loose stools. Ever since completing the transition, which Kismet guides you well on, his stomach has steadied, his stools are solid, his coat is shiny, and he just seems more happy and energetic. Great ingredients and my dog loves the little chicken bits. She had no problem transitioning to this food. The only problem I have is that she’ll eat all the chicken bits and leave the dry food bits. She goes back eventually, but I’ve had other foods with the bits of chicken that she enjoys all of the food together. Also love the packaging- I have a cat who eats through bags and he hasn’t done it to this bag yet- I feel like it’s sturdier so the smell isn’t escaping which makes me feel like it’s staying more fresh.

Kismet is a wonderful company and I'm sure there food is great for some dogs. We are having big issues in getting Molly to eat this regularly. She only eats it when she has no other choice and is hungry enough, then she will eat anything. It's weird because she likes the Salmon treats and she likes the nuggets in the food, but not the food itself. Still trying it before deciding if we need to return and try the other flavor that is Beef, which she normally doesn't like either. I got an email saying you soon will be adding other flavors, etc. so hopefully something will eventually come that we can switch her to. One other big big concern, is that your smallest size is 9-lbs and at her size, there is absolutely no way she can eat that whole bag before her next scheduled delivery which is the further time you allow us to select. Hopefully someone will contact us regarding these issues and offer some suggestions for us. We love John and his family and want to support them in anyway we can as they do so much for others too.
