Please avoid using this corn cob bedding for your pet birds. We bought this a few months ago as it was advertised as a natural bedding for small animals including birds. Come to find out, corn cob bedding is extremely toxic for birds and can harbor bacteria and cause fungal infections. This product killed two of our pet budgies within the course of a few months and has made another one of our birds extremely sick. Don’t let the bird graphic on the packaging fool you! It is not safe! DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT FOR PET BIRDS!!

I use this in the bottom of my Double Yellow Headed Amazon's cage. She has a lot of feathers that tend to float and dander from new feathers no matter how many baths. This stuff is perfect! I don't use the grate in the bottom of her cage. I just lay a paper liner down and then the kay-kob. Then scoop her cage like a cat's box. It's so much easier. Then when it is ready to be dumped i roll up the kay-kob in the paper i lined the cage with. An added bonus is that that kay-kob is heavy so she can't push the tray out. So glad they carry this because this is actually not easy to get a hold of sometimes.

We've used paper pellet litter for our ferrets for years and never considered switching but then I bought this one on the whim and I'm glad I did! It somehow reduces their waste odor, absorbs urine better than the paper pellets and their waste doesn't stick to the litter pan anymore, since this litter creates a thin layer of small sized pellets between the waste and the plastic bottom of the pan, so cleaning got easier. The only downside is that the small pellets are now being thrown around and we do extra vacuuming around the cages but I am ok with that as long as the stink is reduced. 5 stars!

I used to buy the 8 lb bag which was very convenient to carry and store in a closet.. Now it only comes in 25 lb bags which are heavy and harder to store as you now need more room.
