17 out of 17 rodents approved of about 95% this mix. Rat, mice, spiny mice. All quick to snatch this mix from me. All happy to to destroy puzzle treat feeders to get this mix. All quick to cache and hoard this up. And steal it from their cage mates. Tiny alfalfa pellets are almost always included in these mixes. I’ve never had a rodent eat them. They make up a very very tiny portion of this mix so the bit of waste doesn’t bother me. Will buy it again to hide aha give as treats.

I was surprised when I opened the bag - I would never feed this to my pet mice or rats, it is in no way suitable and would not be good for them as they would put on weight very fast. It is mostly made up of sunflower and other fatty seeds and lots and lots of peanuts in the shell - and artificially coloured biscuits - blue, yellow, green. Also, it's huge bag for such tiny pets - unless you have a lot of them, it's 15lb in weight, and I'm not sure how long it would be good for once opened. I did give my mice a small amount to see what they thought - they ate most of it at once, leaving the little biscuits - but I would only use it as a rare treat.

I mixed this in with my rats’ regular food and they love the addition of some new treats and variety in their bowl and sprinkled around their cage! There are definitely some favorite and least favorite components to this mixture, they eat basically everything except for a single tiny type of seed that makes up a very small amount of the mix. But that seed is always the only thing left in the bottom of their bowl so it’s pretty clear they don’t like it. With how many different things they get to enjoy in this mix though, I don’t mind and they are enjoying easily 90% of what’s in here, probably more! I’m glad this mix allows me to add some excitement to supplement their diet too. They’ve started to beeline for certain things when I add it in now, so I know they’ve got favorites. I like to keep their lives enriched and this helps me with that.
