Kaytee Clear View Small Pet Water Bottle, 16-oz bottle

All water bottles leak. I recently discovered that this type of spring device that attaches the bottle to the cage makes all the difference. If your guinea pig drinks with gusto, this spring will reduce the soggy mess under the bottle. I am buying this bottle I don't need because it is the cheapest one that comes with the spring that I need. The bottle will probably also come with a nice new gasket. When someone starts selling gaskets and spring attachers separately, I will buy stock in their company.

I really wanted to like this bottle because it looks nice, but unfortunately it didn’t work well for my guinea pigs. The bottle leaks much more than I expected, leaving the bedding wet. The nozzle is also too long, making it less comfortable for guinea pigs to drink from. I used the spring that came with the bottle exactly as intended, but every time my guinea pigs drank, the bottle gradually slid down. Because of that, they had to twist their necks to reach the nozzle. I think the bottle and holder need a more secure locking system to keep the bottle at the correct height and prevent it from slipping during use.

It drips consistently, so id recommend having a bowl or something underneath it if you dont want a puddle or wet bedding or something, but does the trick if you need something cheap or temporary

My dog significantly prefers this water bottle to others Ive used!! He drinks out of it way more and sometimes will voluntarily go into his pen to drink out of it despite having water in his bowl.
