Lots of garbage in the bedding

I bought the 2 pack of 85L bedding a few months ago in preparation for getting a hamster. I finally adopted a hamster this month and opened the bedding to find a bunch of trash in it. If the stuff I found had been solely paper-based, I wouldn't have been too upset since I'm sure a lot of recycling goes into making products like this. However, lots of pieces have a sheen that implies the presence of some other substance, perhaps a type of plastic. There was a purple piece of latex, which makes me think it was part of a worker's gloves at the Kaytee factory. The last thing I will mention is a piece of bedding that was very compacted, to the point that I thought it was wood or plastic at first. This piece is incredibly hard and pointed on one end, which is quite sharp. I don't feel comfortable continuing to purchase this brand for my hamster after finding all of this trash and hurting my hand on that sharp piece of bedding.
If you love your pet do NOT buy this brand or product!

I have been using this brand for my hamster for the past 6 months, during that time I have repeatedly found non-paper pieces mixed in. I have found bits of plastic, gray and brown pieces (no clue what they are), cotton pieces, and fabric pieces. But the most recent find was last night when adding bedding to the cage this was found. I don't even know what this is, it's not plastic, maybe wood? But it's hard and sharp and certainly not paper. This brand obviously doesn't care about what goes into its products, and the devistation it can cause if an animal eats it. Luckily I saw it as soon as it fell into the cage. I have had to pull cotton pieces out of the bedding as this can kill a small animal that eats it. I will no longer be buying this brand and encourage other small pet owners to do the same.
Potty Training

We recently moved a new bunny, Freya, in with our previously adopted rabbit, Noopy. Noopy is potty trained and she loves playing in the bedding in her potty box. She has taught Freya how to use the box. I love that the Clean & Cozy bedding contains no dyes or other additives. Gives me a sense of security in my pets health and they love how fluffy it is. Every order from Chewy has come in a timely manner even during these trying times. Any issues I have had have been quickly resolved and I appreciate their service. Thank you for helping me make my pets lives more enriched while cutting my costs often times in half.
Hard chunks
Saw some mixed reviews and hoped the negatives were like rare occurrences but I got my bag and there was some hard chunks of the bedding. I’m talking about sorta

Other than those few strays I guess it’s alright but I’d rather prefer getting bedding that I know my hamster will be safe in without worrying.

I’ve used this bedding before but the latest bag I ordered has a very concerning of sharp plastic pieces and a weird reddish color piece mixed in buyer beware.

My rats love it
I am new to bedding but, I used to use fleece and the rats would chew it and run under it so, to save time and money I am switching to this. I have tried carefresh

I have tried carefresh in the past and it has a horrible odor to it. Clean and cozy is really soft and it holds up well with odor smell. My rats are doing really well with potty training so, this is working out well for us. They love it I come home from work and they are all snuggled up together on the bedding. Since I started using this I find them using there hide a houses more which is good.
Messy Litter
This litter is absorbant and does a decent job at odor control. My rabbit likes to dig in it and make a huge mess. I have had this problem with both kinds of litters

When my rabbit hops out of his cage he brings chunks of the litter with him. I have tried using less but it doesn't help much. Overall, this litter does a decent job at what it is meant for, just be prepared to vacuum more often.

I have color themes for each of my hamsters and I wanted to get colorful bedding, but ended up going with the cheaper more readily available option of plain white bedding. It looks so much better than it would have with colorful bedding!
Great for my Syrian hamsters bin cage
My hamster Gussy loves this bedding. She has a 104L/110Qt bin. I got the 49.2L bag and it only took about a quarter of the bag to give her 4inchs of bedding to burrow
My hamster Gussy loves this bedding. She has a 104L/110Qt bin. I got the 49.2L bag and it only took about a quarter of the bag to give her 4inchs of bedding to burrow in. No dust and it’s very soft. The paper does feel a bit thin but it is very absorbent. It holds its shape too so she has no problem burrowing or tunneling. It doesn’t have a scent and is fine for her to stuff in her cheeks. Gussie doesn’t like paper bedding that is really clumpy so I got her clean and cozy after doing research and this bedding is perfect for her.
