Guinea Pig Burrow Heaven
My piggies love this bedding bc they can easily burrow in it. I like how well it absorbs the pee and the smell in their room is way better. The product amount looked

I usually always purchase a different brand called care fresh small pet bedding in the beach party color or if it’s a holiday I buy the holiday colors and my rabbit has loved that one for years but recently I decided for no reason, which was dumb of me to purchase a new different brand, so I bought the Kaytee clean and cozy extreme odor control bedding for his litter box and he hates it so much he keeps kicking it all out of his box. Even if I put less in there he doesn’t want it in his litter box. So now I have to go purchase our usual bedding so he will use the litter box.
Is not compostable!
I bought this because the bag advertised odor control. Which did work great, but I thought the bedding was paper and compostable. Turns out in the fine print it

Turns out in the fine print it also has scraps of human sanitary products. This became apparent after I noticed the bedding not composting in my compost pile and my household was in-advertently spreading micro plastics and nylon. If you use this litter throw it in the trash. I am sticking with Carefresh which says on the bag compostable!
works great for my mice
I have used this for a year with my mice and we love it. It’s both soft and keeps the urine smell at a minimum. Its the only kaytee that I prefer it to care fresh

Until I got half way through the bag and found a big piece of blue plastic glove as pictured below. I am so furious that I had plastic in my girls bedding I am thankful they hadn’t chewed or eaten any of this plastic glove. Don’t buy this bedding they clearly don’t inspect they final product very closely

well, first off you should not be letting bedding stay unchanged for 14 days. it isn't a good look to advertise something as controlling odor for 14 days when 10 days is about the max for 2 rats. it begins to smell in about half of that. it's normal bedding that needs a refresh - (take a scoop or something to turn the current bedding over so that soiled bedding goes to the bottom and also add some fresh bedding on top) - it begins to smell and needs a refresh in about 5 days, which is typical. it needs to be changed in 3-5 more days. that is the same as any other bedding. even though i just re-upped on this bedding accidentally, i'll be switching back to the regular kaytee bedding. in case you wanted to know - and it can be hard to see from the pics - this sort of bedding is in clumps of soft paper just like the regular kaytee bedding, not shredded paper or anything else sub-par. it's fine, just isn't any different from regular. i advise you to try a small bag if you doubt me and compare it to their original. my advice is to go with the original.

This is the best bedding I have used. I use it as litter in a bunny litter box, and I change it once a day by just dumping the litter box into a garbage bag. Super
This is the best bedding I have used. I use it as litter in a bunny litter box, and I change it once a day by just dumping the litter box into a garbage bag. Super easy. I have not noticed as much of a smell since switching to this bedding. I have two bunnies. Kaytee Critter Litter is what I was using before, and it smelled horrible! This is also much more cost effective, I go through the 65 - L in two months. Maurer Critter Litter is $8 a bag and I go through one bag in 4 days. Ridiculous!! I highly recommend this product!

I have 2 guinea pigs that have gotten multiple different types of bedding because I wanted to find the best one for them. Im not sure if it just isn't good for rabits
I have 2 guinea pigs that have gotten multiple different types of bedding because I wanted to find the best one for them. Im not sure if it just isn't good for rabits but my guineas love it. Its thicker and fluffier then other bedding then I've bought and it really does keep the order away for pretty much a week. I change my boys once a week because they really aren't dirty and the bedding doesn't start to really get dirty until a week in. So this stuff works wonders and I can't believe how much cheaper it is on Chewy. I was paying 35 dollars for a smaller size bag vs here is 20 for twice the size.

This bedding really does mask odor well and seems very absorbent. I always add a thin fresh layer of bedding daily for a few days until I completely clean out the tray, which is about every third day and this seems to last many days longer. It's also extra cushioned for when our rabbit jumps in and out of the potty tray. I always fluff and spread the bedding so there are no hard clumps to step on and this bedding seems to take longer for me to set up the tray because of how tightly packed it is and harder to break apart and spread compared to the Kaytee Clean & Cozy Natural bedding. And this has nothing to do with the quality of the bedding, but for the first time my rabbit has tried to nibble on it several times which she has not done with her other bedding in the past. I am hoping it might be because it is new to her and she is checking it out.
