my baby chicks under 8 weeks, did not eat the feed for starter chicks. They wasted about 3/4 of it and the hens also wouldn't eat it. Sorry but likely not going to go with your very recommended brand for growing out the chicks.

My baby silkies loved this feed so much, they won’t touch anything else. I don’t really know the difference between chicken feeds, but this one must be special. Purchased it for new baby silkies and started them out on it after reading reviews. When they recently were old enough for the grower feed, I purchased one that a friend uses and suggested. My babies won’t touch it. Been feeding them leftover Kalmbach while waiting for the Kalmbach grower feed to get here. So my chicks heavily endorse Kalmbach feed.

I’m a new chicken owner and the first feed I started my flock on was a high-quality, organic formula from a different brand (S&P Feeds). While I had had no complaints about how my flock did on that feed, I just couldn’t justify the price. After I finished that bag, I did a lot of research and decided to give Kalmbach a try. Before beginning their transition, I put a little of this feed in my hand and offered it to them - They went absolutely crazy for it!!! Even fermented, they never reacted this way to their previous feed. My flock has been fully transitioned onto this feed for a couple weeks now and are doing wonderfully! They still find it very palatable, their feathering looks great and their poops look great. I couldn’t be happier! I love that this formula is organic, and I especially appreciate the sales Chewy occasionally offers on this brand!

I bought this feed to transition my chicks from chick feed to layer. The bag contains about 25% powdered feed. I give my chicks mostly fermented feed, so it works

I give my chicks mostly fermented feed, so it works out ok until I need to fill their backup feeder. I have to sift the feed to remove the dust so the gravity feeder has only crumbles.
