Kalmbach Feeds Heritage Black Sunflower Seeds are best quality and the wild birds seem to really love them. It's raining, raining, raining where I live ... So, I wasn't able to take photos outside for my review, but I can say that the wild birds really do love these seeds. The birds at my location include Doves, Red Cardinals, Bluejays, Sparrows, and occasional Black Birds and they all like to piggy the seeds down. Oh, and the squirrels seem to love these too. Kalmbach Feeds Heritage Seeds are American seeds. So, for everyone who is searching for American quality this is a product that you can be proud to purchase. I recommend this product to anyone who enjoys feeding wild birds and being outside in nature.

If you’re a backyard birder in or near western Pennsylvania, look no further than Kalmbach Heritage black oil sunflower seeds. What sets these apart from typical mixes is simple: no filler. These are pure black oil sunflower seeds, the seeds birds actually want, so nothing goes to waste. The variety of birds I’ve attracted this spring has been impressive: cardinals, blue jays, chickadees, goldfinches, and nuthatches have all been regulars at the feeder. Mourning doves clean up anything that falls to the ground, and just yesterday I spotted a red-bellied woodpecker paying a visit, a real treat! If you want less waste and more birds, these seeds deliver. Highly recommend!

I normally do not feed the birds and squirrels in the summer, but after receiving the Black Oil Sunflower Seeds I decided to fill one of my back feeders to see who would come. I was so happy!, Blue Jays, finches, Doves, Squirrels and a big surprise a Chipmunk (I have not seen one for years). The quality is superb. Rich oil feeling to them and not a bunch of broken shells, you can tell this is a quality seed. I highly recommend.

I added them to a special tube feeder and within 20 minutes the birds had discovered them! Chickadees, titmice, and woodpeckers quickly gathered at the feeder.
