Thanks for letting me add an item to this order. My senior gal has lost a lot of hair lately. She hates shirts and sweaters, so the vet recommended melatonin as it can help with hair re-growth. Best part is, I don’t have to wrap the pill in cheese or peanut butter, she will take it plain. Fingers crossed she gets some new hair, these Iowa winters are brutal!

I purchased this product for my 14 yr. Old because she is showing signs of dementia . After the Vet did some blood work and check up . She does not have any health issues . I get my dog one tablet at 10 pm every night . My dog stopped pacing and vocalizing during the night hours . Now I’m not woken up at 3 am . Try this product , it really helped .

I have Italian greyhounds unfortunately, this particular breed is prone to conditions that can affect their coat quality, including a couple of different forms of alopecia. Funny enough, one of the treatments for certain types of alopecia is melatonin supplements. I decided to try this particular melatonin supplement paired with a few other coat care supplements for my Italian greyhound. He was experiencing significant thinning down his back. He is at the prime age for developing certain types of alopecia so this was more of a preventative measure. He has not been formally diagnosed with anything. I will say since starting the product paired with the other skin coat supplements, I have seen a drastic improvement in his overall coat quality. The thinness is dissipating and while it’s definitely not like it was when he was younger it is definitely better than what it was a few months ago. This product has been very well received taste Wise. He takes one in the morning and one at night the one in the morning I just give it to him like his morning treat and the one at night just goes in his dinner. Absolutely zero fuss. And he’s excited about it. This particular breed is prone to some anxious traits as well, and while he himself is not overly anxious, I have noticed a positive improvement in his overall demeanor him just being a little bit more relaxed and a bit less reactive to things that would typically cause him to become reactive. He also sleeps through the night better than he did before. Usually, he would get up a couple of times, but now once he goes down for the night, he does not get up. I know some people have expressed concerns about some of the additives in this particular product. I personally have not had any side effects with my dog. As of right now, I plan to continue the product and have been very happy with it

My dog is 16 1/2, and suffering from canine dementia, and nights have been so HARD for the past year with her waking every few hours. In desperation we tried this, and within two nights of taking it she was sleeping through the night. She seems like a whole new pup. We are no longer keeping newborn hours with our old girl. I’ll be purchasing this again and again.

My dog will eat just about anything, and yet, he will not eat these chews/pills. I even try dissolving it in water and give it with a syringe, and after 20 minutes in water, it would not dissolve. I am leaving this review for others to learn from my experience and just go buy regular melatonin at the store and hide in in food, since that's what I will have to to with these pills. And I can assure you, my dog is not picky AT ALL. I do want to say something about the issue of "does it work?" -- Read the reviews carefully and fully: if people are buying it thinking it will be a sedative for stressful events like going to the vet or trimming nails, most likely, they will say it doesn't work. Now, for people who have geriatric dogs who are struggling to settle down at night and need some improvement in the quality of sleep, then yes, after taking it nightly for a few weeks, you will see some improvement. But again, it's not a sedative that will make the dog sleep through anything. Also, it's not a replacement for activity and enrichment. If a dog is bored or anxious because of lack of mental & physical stimulation, this won't make them magically calm down and sleep all day. And same as people: it works better for some dogs than for others. You have to give it 2 weeks before coming to conclusions. I do appreciate that these chews have 3 mg of melatonin, which is not easy to find in most calming chews (many have a fraction of it).

I always read ingredients before giving anything to our dogs. I was looking at Melatonin for our newest puppy as she's very hyper sometimes. I thought about giving her "people" melatonin but when I looked up the first ingredient, this is what it said "Dicalcium phosphate can cause digestive issues, such as constipation or diarrhea, and may lead to kidney problems in dogs with pre-existing conditions. Warnings: Avoid dog foods that contain dicalcium phosphate as it is an unhealthy ingredient that provides no nutritional value to dogs" Could someome please advise on this as this is one of the ingredients on this product. Thank you.

My 2 doxies are bad with fireworks or even loud thunder. A friend recommended this melatonin, and my dogs were more relaxed and not very stressed out or high anxiety for Fourth of July. I was impressed with how easy it was for my dog to take it, I didn’t have to hide it in something.

After much research, I ordered this melatonin product from Chewy. My elderly dog started panting and pacing at night and nothing could calm her down. She's already on anti inflammatory medication for arthritis. This melatonin really helps her sleep at night without discomfort. Definitely recommend.
