Iams Proactive Health Minichunks Adult Lamb & Rice Dry Dog Food, 38.5-lb bag

We used Iams with our first 2 dogs and never had a problem (they lived long, very healthy lives). When they passed on we got a pit bull/Shepard mix puppy rescue. The vet we went to told us to use hills science for his bowels bc he was having diarrhea.... Fast forward 3 years and many many expensive foods and he still never had solid stool, never got rid of his allergies and had issues with his glands. Anyways, we recently, slowly transitioned him to Purina for sensitive skin and stomach and he stopped eating completely. 0 eating for a few days. He just wasn't interested in it and would not touch it. He was eating snacks and other foods besides the Purina. This is when we decided just to go with what we have always known with our previous dogs in going back to Iams. I'm not lying, this dog looks forward to eating now and he actually has stool that is solid!!! And no gland issues... I know dog people will say kibble is bad blah blah blah, but I'm thankful we finally found something that has worked great and it's not hundreds of dollars a month.

First of all, let me just say....."We LOVE Chewy for our pet's needs" However, I usually order 3 large bags at a time for our 4 furbabies, and when more than one 30+ pound bags are placed together in one box, that box arrives heavily damaged. If those bags within are damaged and open, it could potentially leave my pet's food contaminated and unusable. This, to my knowledge, hasn't happened yet, but it's possible. I would prefer to 'prevent' that rather than report it after-the-fact. My suggestion is that when customers are purchasing larger bags of pet food that only one-bag-per-box be packed for shipping. PLEASE and Thank You. (I'm also certain the delivery person will appreciate it) :)

A note on Iams-my picky eaters even love it, especially this lamb and rice recipe! All 4 of my dogs of different ages love Iams and are excited for meal times. Iams is vet recommended and formulated so babies are getting everything they need. All my dogs(2 small breed and 2 border collies) are active, have good and infrequent bowel movements and never have an upset tummy. My 8 year old is much more active since switching months ago. We do wish the big bag had the nicer material and feel of the smaller bags. ALSO Chewy is the absolute best and we love love them! Best customer service and timely shipments. I wouldn’t want to buy from anywhere else when it comes to my kids(dogs, ferrets and bunnies) 4 paws up to Iams and Chewy!

I needed to see the expiration date on the bag so I could decide to open this bag or another bag of Dry Food. The IAMS Bag expiration date showed, 9/27/202. I called the 800 number and gave the guy a bunch of numbers from the bag and he found the date as being 2026, which I appreciated. He told me he gets lots of calls with the same problem and callers often offer to send him a picture of their bag but, he said, if they can't read it how could I! Also, I was notified that the delivery was out for delivery and would receive it in the AM which was great because I had something I needed to get out and do and I worry about porch pirates which have been raising havoc as of late. It turned out to be delivered in the AM but at the house next door. I didn't get the delivery till after 5:30 PM when my neighbor brought it over and set it on my porch. There was no problem with the address on the box, just a problem with the Fed X driver who mis delivered it. My house has 2005 in plain site on it. I'm not mad but you asked.
