Chicken by-product meal is flesh and skin, internal organs including intestines, and bone that have been cleaned, dried, cooked, and ground. It provides essential amino acids for muscle building, tissue repair, hormone synthesis, and other metabolic processes. Meat by-products are the clean parts other than muscle tissue derived from beef, pork or lamb ("meat by-products") or chicken, turkey or duck ("poultry by-products"). They are a safe and highly digestible source of many essential nutrients.

I couldn’t be more pleased with this food for my cats. Let me start off with saying the main reason I’m so thrilled is because I have 3 cats and all have had diarrhea issues for YEARS, it’s been an ongoing issue. I was finally getting overwhelmed and so frustrated after countless vet visits, medicines, labs, foods. I can’t even count how many different foods and formulas I’ve tried. I felt like giving up. I had bought so many different “sensitive” formulas, different proteins, nothing helped until I tried this food. I only tried this food on a whim because of the hairball and weight reviews I thought it sounded good for them since my cats are long hair and frequently have hairballs and one is super chonky. It was a miracle, it ended up curing the ongoing diarrhea they’ve had for years. I looked at the fiber and it’s so much higher than the foods that are marketed for stomach issues. I wish I would have found this sooner, it doesn’t break the bank, it’s good food, and they all enjoy eating it.

All 3 of my cats like it

All my kitties enjoy this kibble and have had no issues eating it. We used to feed them Rachel Ray food but they started vomiting on occasion so we needed to switch

All my kitties enjoy this kibble and have had no issues eating it. We used to feed them Rachel Ray food but they started vomiting on occasion so we needed to switch brands. One of my cats is a snickers and on the chonky side, another has frequent hairball due to his long coat. Since switching I've seen a slight reduction in weight for the first and much less frequent hairballs in the second. It's a bit pricey but well worth it when all my kitties enjoy it. Note they also get wet food daily and the dry food isn't always left out.

Great product/ packaging needs help

My cat treats are always packed with heavy items and the plastic container/s are always busted and my cat treats are all over the bottom of the box, so this TIME

My cat treats are always packed with heavy items and the plastic container/s are always busted and my cat treats are all over the bottom of the box, so this TIME I did not call to get new treats sent to me I picked all the plastic out of the treats on the bottom of the box. How do I go about getting my cat treats and dogs treats packaged together, and then the heavy cans in another box and cat food bag and dog food bag in a different one I don’t care if I get 3 boxes but you about to lose a customer because of packaging and I see my bill has gone up to over $400 so that would be a disappointment for you

FEDX DELIVERY

Chewy did an EXCELLENT job as always!! Fedx, on the other hand, is seriously lacking in their delivery methods. I think there must be a competition among the drivers

Chewy did an EXCELLENT job as always!! Fedx, on the other hand, is seriously lacking in their delivery methods. I think there must be a competition among the drivers to see who can toss a heavy package the furthest!! One of the canned food package was completely torn apart and 30 cans of food were 'floating" around and I taped the other two boxes in order to hold the cans of food. I AM NOT COMPLAINING ABOUT CHEWY......YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST!!! I have complained to Fedx in the past about their delivery and there has never been a response. I write this review now in the event you are not aware of how your product is being handled.

I left my front gate completely open so they wouldn't deliver it outside the gate, which is never locked, and hung a huge sign on my walk-in garage door next to my front door asking them to place the delivery on the blue sign on the ground on the other side of my door, instead of in front of it where myself or my mother, who uses a walker can't, get in. As usual, the chewy products were wonderful. I the delivery driver would use some common sense when delivering large heavy boxes to my home.

All the cats in my household eat this. My youngest two have incredibly soft, glossy coats, and everyone is completely healthy and happy. Of course, this is due to coat type, since they're on the silky side, but the difference is unbelievable and their shedding has actually become extremely minimal. One is what you might call on the plumper side, but that's mostly due to how *much* she eats.

I have 3 cats and it was hard to find cat food that worked for all of them because one is petite and sensitive and one is part Maine Coon and huge and the other

I have 3 cats and it was hard to find cat food that worked for all of them because one is petite and sensitive and one is part Maine Coon and huge and the other cat likes to eat a lot. My sensitive stomach kitty was throwing up hair balls and liquid a lot but this food fixed that which was my biggest concern. She also needed to graze throughout the day and I can leave this food out all day for all of them. Iams cat food is also reasonably priced and a quality brand. I buy the 22lb bag and it will last a whole month with 3 cats. The auto ship and free delivery to my door is awesome since it is heavy and sometime out at Walmart. No more hauling it myself in the store and in and out of the car or going to two stores to look for it. Also, the litter box isn’t terrible either. I would definitely recommend this!

My cats, (9) indoor only, have been eating this food for MANY years with no problems. Then late last yr (2025), I received bags of food with things in them that shouldn't have been in the food. One was a button, and the other was bits of a white something on a lot of the kibble. Chewy was very good in making things right with that order. I order 2 22lb bags every 5ish weeks. Now I am feeding the second bag from my last order, and none of my cats want to eat it. They run to the bowl, back away, and look at me. And two of them are lethargic and have diarrhea. I just received another order, so I am going to stop feeding out of the currently opened bag and try one from this new order. If that doesn't improve the situation very soon, I will throw out ALL of the remaining IAMS and try something else. I remember how the quality of Iams declined when P&G bought them, and I fear we are here again. I am sooo disappointed with IAMS.
