Both formulas have less than 1% difference in caloric, protein, fat, and fiber content. The Hill's Science Diet Adult Advanced Fitness Small Bites formula uses fresh chicken as the first ingredient instead of chicken meal and has an added blend of omega-6 fatty acids.

please compare the small bites chicken and barley food (science diet) vs. the adult chicken and barley formula (regular and large bites) as my puppy approaches 1 year and is between 25 - 30 lbs and I would like to transition from the puppy formula

Both of these foods share the same exact benefits and ingredients. The only difference is that the Small bites formula offers a small kibble size.

She has never been so happy with her food. Her energy levels are up up up and she’s back to her bouncy happy self. All she wants to do is play and cuddle. It’s truly amazing and heartbreaking at the same time to get to see that loving spirit of hers once more. We found each other during the darkest parts of both of our lives and she’s always been there for me. I’m doing everything I can to make sure she’s as happy as possible for her last few years. Running to the bowl for this has definitely become one of them.

Even Toto would love it

I recently switched our miniature schnauzer and Cotton de Tulear from another branded dog food to this Science Diet formula. I have always fed my dogs Science Diet in the past, but used brand F for these two dogs because it’s what they were fed as puppies and just stuck with it. Our Cotton, Kelly, is an extremely finicky eater and turns his little nose up at most dog treats and even people food so I was extremely nervous about trying the change. We decided to make a change because we have started seeing dental problems, that I’ve never experienced with my other dogs in the past that were on SD, so decided to give it a try. I ordered the food from chewy as had been hearing a lot about them on social media and also I’m tired of going to the pet store and lugging bags home. The food came quickly and I never left the house. We are free feeders and neither dog is overweight .i mixed it with their old dog food and put a bowl out and I also put out a bowl of just the Science Diet to see what happened. I was absolutely shocked when on the first day our picky eater and his sister were both eating the SD bowl and ignoring the old food all together. Afterwards neither had any noticeable digestive issues and are now happy Science Diet babies. The size of the pellets are perfect for their little mouths and with the previous dental issues and tooth removal I now am not as concerned that they are unable to chew and digest their food properly. We all give this dog food 5 stars and being from Kansas we all are pretty sure that If Toto came to visit she would enjoy it also.

It's very simple - one of my dogs is a very picky eater, and Science Diet small bites dog food is the only dry food she will eat on a regular basis (she will eat other kinds if she's truly starving). She started out on Science Diet puppy small bites and then changed to adult small bites (she's only 15 lbs with a small teeth - she's part whippet - so normal bites food is a little too big for her). Mixed with a little wet food and she actually finishes her bowl most of the time. It's nice to have a dog that doesn't overeat. She's the one on the right. The white poodle will eat anything you give her!

I would buy more stuff from chewy if I could use Autoship and get the deal that going on at the same time. Example I get the Autoship with the discount, the next shipment is 5% off. But I have a 20% discount I can't use on that order. So I cancel the Autoship and get 20% to 40% off from some one else. I have 2 cats, 2 dogs, 2 turtles and 3 lizards, but I'm only buying dog food because of the way it works. Everyone wants a little discount when they buy stuff.

My 7 yr old corgi mix Mia is an insanely picky eater. She sometimes either eats this immediately or eats it a day later. It’s never given her any tummy issues, and her skin seems to be less dry compared to the last food I had her on (Stella and Chewy). I’ve always been a little critical about Hills and Purina, but so far this food has been great and I’m satisfied with the quality each time.

it's... dog food! seemingly good dog food, too. our vet approves, so that's good, and our dog approves, which is a less weighted opinion because she will eat literal turds off the ground, but I would rather her eat kibble than turds, so that's of course good. anyway she's been eating this her whole life and she's a happy healthy pup. can't complain. enjoy this photo of my eepy baby dog. she is a very silly girl and I love her.

This kibble is the only one I've found that hasn't upset my dogs digestive tract. He prefers eating chicken based kibble and always has had bloody stools. I can say he doesn't eat the kibble by itself, but eats it when combined with a prescription canned food. I'll continue feeding this kibble despite having to mix it with soft food. My search for a kibble ends with Healthy Extension Buffalo & white fish kibble. It deserves five stars; I lowered it to four because of my picky eater!!

Not often do i leave reviews, but i thought this may help some people’s decision as reading reviews helped mine. I have 2 shihtzu’s between 10-12 lbs and they love this food. They are grazers so they eat when they’re hungry but the size of pebbles is perfect and it’s hard enough to get tarter off their teeth. Highly recommend! my sister also has this dog food for her chocolate lab, but he is on the bigger pebbles :) hope this helps!

My older lab loves this food! (The younger one will eat anything lol) She really loves the small bites over the larger ones (easier for her to eat.) Being a vet tech for 12 years, Im an avid believer in Science Diet and wouldn't feed my animals any other brand. Their coats are shiny/healthy, their weight is perfectly maintained, and never had a digestive issue.
