We’ve been feeding Harper this Hills since she was a puppy, and while she has technically aged out of the 1-5yr mark we’re a little late on a transition to a more senior focused food for her. Honestly though I’m convinced the 1-5yr recommendation is just because your best friend will just stay between those years and not actually get any older. The gray may be visible a little more than we like but she still has the same energy as 7 years ago and I think it is all thanks to her diet.

Great experience with Chewy however Fed ex left the package out by the road where it could easily have been stolen. Fortunately I received a text saying the package was "delivered" and was not too far from home to get it before someone else picked it up. Had I been farther from home I'm not so sure the package would have been there by the time I got home.

I have not been this impressed with ANY company that l have ever dealt with~ like I am with Chewy!!. I was able to speak to someone on the phone (no waiting I might add) that was local and lived in the USA. I had accidently ordered the wrong food and they were so generous that instead of them picking up the bag of food, they told me to keep it and just donate it to the local shelter! I was amazed and did just that! It felt so good to donate to the shelter since we hadn't been there since we adopted our boy 4+ yrs ago. The representative was kind, understanding, and overall extremely helpful and we were able to obtain the correct food within a few days. They have a customer for life! I will never leave Chewy and I am so grateful that there are still companies out there that treat you well and talk to you like a human being instead of a problematic customer. I tell anyone and everyone I know how great Chewy is! Oh and the Hill's Science dog food is great. Our Pitty Koop gobbles it up every time ;-)

My pit mix, Duke, was rescued a couple of years ago and came home with us from the shelter with a small bag of this food. My vet recommended we keep him on it and we've gotten it from Chewy ever since. Duke loves his food...he was a far-too-lean 75lbs when we adopted him and over the years, even though we gave him far less than the amount recommended on the label, he's blossomed into a less-than-lean 100lbs! After the formula changed, Duke loved his food even more. If we fed him as much as he wanted to eat we would be buying dog food every other day! As it is, a bag lasts us 7 weeks or so and he's coming down from 100lbs to a more healthy weight. This is a good food for large adult dogs. Mine loves it, but like people, dogs are individuals and your mileage may vary. If your dog does like it, Hills will help keep him/her as healthy as possible through nutrition. I've fed Hills to my pets with good results since I was a kid and now I'm in my 40s. I've been blessed to have pets who tend to live long, uneventful lives. I'd like to believe the two are related.

My girl was diagnosed with epilepsy when she was a little over a year old. After being on phenobarbital for quite some time it made her gain a lot of weight. She’s supposed to be around 28 pounds max. She was almost 50 pounds. The phenobarbital worked the best for her as far as controlling her seizures but it made her obese. It was very difficult to decide whether the seizures or weight gain were doing more harm. Her Vet recommended Hill’s Weight Reduction. She lost a noticeable pound in 3 weeks. 1 pound on a Corgi is equivalent to 7 pounds on an adult person. Huge. She moves around more. She looks better. She seems happier all around. I bought the biggest bag and it lasted 2 1/2 months so well worth the money, but more importantly her health. Ordering her 2nd bag so she can stay on this seizure medication.

I have a Great Pyrenees/Komondor Mix who would not eat all of this food as if she didn't like it. I was about to change it to the lamb & rice formula but a new bag of the chicken & barley was already on it's way with the Auto Ship and figured I'd just continue it and change it before the next scheduled shipment. Low & behold the bag that came is in a newly designed bag that can be resealed and is shaped different. Apparently it tastes better to her now because she's gobbling it up! Thank You for your great products. I've Science Diet since the early 90's for all my dogs and cats and all live beyond expected years as healthy and happy fur babies!

I had a dog with food allergies. After years of trial and error, I found that the regular adult formula of this food was the only right fit. That dog went on to live ~21 years. After getting a German Shepherd, I switched to foods that were marketed as better for that breed. My dog was frequently sick and ultimately passed away early. For my next German Shepherd, I switched back to Science Diet and my doggo has been thriving for years. I will never buy another brand of food again. Also, Science Diet has since opened a factory in my community and they do so much to give back. They are just an overall amazing brand. Highly recommend.

We adopted our Goldendoodle, Seamus, in March of this year. At 3 1/2 yrs old and a life spent in a commercial breeding facility (aka puppy mill) he was a mess. After being on the Science Diet Large Breed for 9 mo's he is a different dog! Not only are we getting compliments on his coat, but he is now a solid 63lbs of muscle, and solid #2's finally as well. He has so much energy and focus when we train and literally runs circles around the other dogs at the dog park! I've switched all of my fur babies over to various Science Diet formulas and all are thriving.

We are transitioning our Great Dane baby (almost 2 years old) from her puppy food to her big-girl food. We had a lot of problems with loose stool with various puppy foods. Now that we found one that agrees with her, we were hesitant to transition to the adult food. It's been two weeks with a 50/50 mix and we have had no problems!

With the virus going around and harder to find our brand of dog food it was time to go back to Chewy. We had bought food from here before to help fatten up our rescue puppy but had been finding our Science Diet dry food locally cheaper. But now Chewy has come closer in price and will hopefully always have it and now we have 2 rescues and they go through a bag fairly fast and having it on a subscription we know it will be here before we run out.
