Hill's Science Diet Adult 1-6 Chicken & Barley Recipe Dry Dog Food, 35-lb bag

I have a 1 year old pup that has been SO PICKY from day one. She is a rescue pup that was abandoned prior to me finding her so I didn’t know what she had been fed but I suspect she ate a lot of table food because from day one, she was super picky with ANY kibble I’d get. When I took her to puppy training school she was the only picky puppy who wouldn’t respond to treats. The last food I tried for her was according to the feed and pet stores top of the line. It couldn’t get any better than that one, but to my surprise, my pup was excited only the first day and after that she could go a whole day without eating, and she would just touch her bowl 1-if I sprinkled cheese on top or 2-if she was super super hungry. After getting Hills Science Diet, she seemed really excited from the moment I opened the bag. I gave her half of her bowl of this food and half of her top of the line food and she immediately ate the HSD food within minutes and left the other one untouched. I figured the real test would be day 2 as she always eats the new food on day one but quickly loses interest after that. Today is the end of day 2 and I’m happy to announce that this morning she ate her entire serving as soon as I put the bowl down without any cheese or other enticements. Her evening serving went the same way, as soon as I offered it to her she ate the entire serving licking the bowl. I am so happy that I finally found a food that she LOVES and I love that I can do rotations if she starts getting bored. I didn’t even do a slow transition and the change of food did not upset her tummy whatsoever. Lastly, my pocket book is also happy as the same size bag will cost me $26 less than the other food she was on that she didn’t care for!

A couple of weeks ago I provided a not so good rating on the Science Diet Perfect Weight Dry Dog Foo, as it made my dogs paws itchy. I switched him back to the regular Science Diet recipe which the itching stopped. Fast forward a couple of weeks later I received a email from CHEWY informing me of a refund. Yes, CHEWY refunded the full amount of purchased and asked that I donate unused bag to a rescue. They even provided me a donation receipt. I do not intend to donate the food, fearing that it may cause other dogs itchy paws. Anyway, This review is just to give a HUGE shout out to CHEWY for once again exceeding my expectations and going above and beyond. Their customer service is impeccable and they truly care about our furry kids and their families. With this treatment, I am a customer for life. So happy to see that customer service is back in style!!!! Thank you Team Chewy, God Bless you ALL :)

We couldn't be happier with this dog food! Our energetic 1.5-year-old, Bourbon, was eating it at the humane society, and we've continued to use it. He absolutely loves the taste, and we’ve noticed a fantastic improvement in his overall health in the short time we’ve had him. His poop schedule is regular, and we've had no issues with throwing up. Plus, the kibble size is just right for him. Best of all, the price is very reasonable compared to other brands we've tried. Highly recommend this food for any dog owner!

Our dog Shirin LOVES this blend of food. We make our own soft dog food, but we need a good kibble to fortify the mix at feeding time. Our girl takes the food well and devours it every time. Imagine our surprise when it looked like her long lost sibling was on the cover of the bag! Thanks Chewy for getting the food here so quickly and packaged so well.
