I first noticed my dog having environmental allergies in July 2024. His white feet and white muzzle turned red from all the licking. I put him on cytopoint and it wasnt helping much. Then I put him on apoquel and that helped until june 2025. His feet white turned orange red again from the saliva from licking. After research, I learned it was from grass pollen. I put him on this prescription dog food and also began wiping his feet with the oatmeal wipes every time he went outside. This has been a game changer!!! I cannot believe that grass pollen would cause so much problems. It took me a whole year to figure out how to keep his fur whiteand how to keep him allergy free. It is important to know that you probably should wipe their feet every single time they go outside from apr-oct when the pollen is high.

My dog with allergies has been on Apoquel for life, tried Cytopoint, every OTC sensitive skin diet, omega 3 supplements, Duoxo baths/wipes, etc. Nothing made a real difference until we switched to this. I was honestly skeptical after trying so much, but within a few weeks, her itching got so much better. She’s more comfortable, her skin looks healthier, and she’s just happier overall. It’s such a relief to finally see her get some peace, and I’m so thankful this food exists. If your dog is stuck in that cycle of constant itching, this is absolutely worth trying.

Happy Pets, Happy Vet Tech

I’m so excited this food is finally available in the US! I’ve been following this food for a while since it’s the first for environmental allergies and food allergies. As a vet tech, it’s so hard seeing pets that suffer with either/both types of sensitivities. My pittie Emma has horrible poultry allergies, so she had to be on hydrolyzed protein food. But she has environmental allergies in the spring and summer. This food has helped her so much and saved her being on medications that we were prepared to have her on life-long. Our other dog is a bulldog with just environmental allergies and this food has really helped her too. It’s so nice to be able to have both pets on one food!

I had called Chewy to order prescription dog food, gave my vets phone number and address. Chewy customer service rep said she’d call the vet to confirm Rx. I got and email a few days later saying the order was complete, then a couple days after the order confirmation, I got an email from Chewy saying the vet could not be reached my order was canceled. Frustrated doesn’t even come close to how I felt. My dog is sick and needed this food. So to the pet store I went and found food that had close. Paid $70+ dollars. The the very next day the $130+ bag of dog food showed up from Chewy. What’s up Chewy?

My poor cocker spaniel every time we turn around it’s something. He’s 15.9 complete deaf, almost blind, if it’s not an ear infection it’s his skin. We have given him medication and used medicated shampoos, conditioners and sprays. I just saw this food and decided to give it a try. So far I’ve had no problem getting him to eat it. Seems to really like it. It’s only been less than a week so he still is eating some of his original food. Not much difference in his skin. I will keep all of you posted. Praying this food solves his skin issues. Right now I give it 4 stars for taste.

We just received a brand new bag of this food yesterday. Upon dishing out a bowl, I noticed this very dark, hard pieces in the food. I took a picture, and I even tried to bite one. It's not food. I don't know what it is, but it's not food. They are HARD. My poor dog could have broken a tooth on it. I threw it away. $137 down the drain.

My veterinarian always knows how to guide me in the right direction. He recommended derm complete by hills prescription diet and it's made a huge change in my dog and so many ways. All of her skin irritations are diminishing, and she loves this food so she eats it. She is very very picky and also a rescue so I didn't know which way to turn and finally coming to this conclusion with the help of my veterinarian I can eliminate switching foods to the tune of four times already. I think we have finally found our answers and I am so grateful. Thank you hills prescription diet derm complete...

Look, this stuff is expensive. I hate that my vet recommended us to try it. My dog has been going on food protests most of her life. We thought it was because she was spoiled. No, she actually didn't feel good with the other food we fed her. Oops. I want to rate it 0 starts because of the price...but my dog loves it so that's all that we ask for.

Hill's was known for quality products in the past. Not only was HPD ineffective w/George's allergy issue, but Hill's did not wish to discuss any kind of cust support when I called. Just offered a bunch of nonstackable incremental coupons (yes, so I'd buy more of their product). Wow, things have really changed from a few years back. I won't buy anything from Hill's anymore. And so it goes....
