The manufacturer adheres to the highest food-grade processing standards and uses only insect growth regulators to maintain these high standards. Any Pesticide used in the field would have had to be done in accordance with both the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO). Any pesticide used in the field would not have come in contact with the seed/grain itself.

This is very good quality, esp. not having the corn within it. The sunflower seeds are large and high-quality as is the rest of the ingredients. I only feed seed to the birds when the weather starts to get cold, all then all throughout the winter usually until April. After that, my wooded, heavily flowered and shrubbery - filled property can take care of them the rest of the time. God will provide for His creatures!

Something For Everyone!

I live in Mount Washington Valley, NH. A rural area not yet cluttered by development. I cherish the wildlife that are safe here. SO many bird species, red and grey

I live in Mount Washington Valley, NH. A rural area not yet cluttered by development. I cherish the wildlife that are safe here. SO many bird species, red and grey squirrels, skunk, raccoon. I used to see more bear, deer, an occasional moose but haven't in a couple years. When I scatter Harvest seed, I enjoy that Doves, Cardinals, Blue Jays, Finches, Chickadees, and small animals who visit and never fight over food. That's what happens when there's enough and no one takes too much. The animal kingdom should teach us that lesson, before humans deplete the planet.

I use a small 10 pound bag of the HARVEST SEED & SUPPLY to supplement my daily "regular" use birdseed because the Harvest brand supplies a very high-quality mix to the millet and cracked corn-laden daily seed. The price is right. I highly recommend this !

Busted package

The bird seed looks great & I am hopeful it is going to draw a variety of birds. Appears to be high grade without much filler. However the bag was ripped open in

The bird seed looks great & I am hopeful it is going to draw a variety of birds. Appears to be high grade without much filler. However the bag was ripped open in the box & seed was all inside my other items within the box. Thankfully I had a old birdseed bag at home that I was able to transfer this seed in to, but based on the seed on my porch leaking out of the box when in arrived, Im wondering how much was lost before I recd it. The company needs to pkg this in a better bag or chewy may need to put a couple wraps of tape around each bag before shipping.

Ingredients list on bag does not match Chewy's listing

I try to avoid bird food with "filler" (i.e. "grain products) as much as possible and thought I was doing so with this bag, based on Chewy's list of ingredients

I try to avoid bird food with "filler" (i.e. "grain products) as much as possible and thought I was doing so with this bag, based on Chewy's list of ingredients. However, the actual bag's ingredient list I received 8/13/24 is not the same. Here is the list of actual ingredients: Sunflower seed, millet, grain products, safflower seed, peanuts. Grain products is second on the list, which means a lot of filler in this bag- I was wondering why this was a bit cheaper than some of the other brands and now I know. I also had some sticks in my bag, which I thought was odd. It is a reasonable price but there is quite a bit of waste by the birds in my area.

Just wanted to pass along a few things. I love that you can ship everything in one box. But maybe start wrapping fragile things. For the past 5 months our bird seed bag has been ripped inside our box. I assume from other things in the box rubbing on the bag. This month it is completely ripped apart, bird seed everywhere, and leaking out of the bag.

I've been ordering Wild Bird Seed, Feeders and all my cat family's favorite foods for a decade now from Chewy. Last week I ordered several bags of this popular Wild Bird Food . . . apparently the shipment was damaged in transit (possibly hurricane Debby). Chewy notified me via email with their apology for the inconvenience and that they would reorder and ship. Chewy is such a people and pet oriented company. Excellent Customer Service and btw the Bird Food was Free. THANK YOU CHEWY. P.S. Birds and Squirrels love this quality food, no wasted food and what gets away turns into beautiful millet and sunflower healthy plants
