My dog is a small silky cocker about 18 lbs. When she has eaten her regular food for the day, I tell her to sit. She takes the stick and runs off with it. She eats the meat but usually hides the rawhide stick. We have them all over the house! Sometimes she eats them. Sometimes she carries them around like a cigarette hanging out of her mouth. They are her special prized possessions! Every week I throw a few out because she only needs one or two. But then she looks around for them! All very cute. My daughter’s pit mix also loves them but eats the entire thing right away, again after running off with it. Sometimes our dog asks for a stick before she has eaten her food, and I tell her she needs to eat her regular food first, and she ignores me, but once her food is gone, she comes and lets me know by neeping vigorously then leading me to her dish to see it is empty so she can get that stick. As you can see, these sticks have been fully incorporated into our life with our dog!

Often it is these treats (I just don’t want to give them too much rawhide) and sometimes it is other treats that I buy and cut up the same way and sometimes it’s just dog cookie treats..
