Important Information

Fleas rise to the top of your pet's coat as they die, so consider it a triumph if you start seeing more fleas at first, after treating your pet. If you’re still seeing fleas after application, it may be because your pet has picked up new fleas from the environment, which may include other pets, surfaces and outdoor areas. It may take up to 90 days to break the entire flea life cycle. Additionally, you should also treat sources of new fleas (i.e., carpet, yard, etc.) to ensure complete flea control.

Fast-Acting, Long-Lasting Protection

Frontline Plus is formulated with two active ingredients that kill fleas and ticks and prevent new flea infestations from developing. It’s waterproof 24 hours after application, lasts for a full 30 days, and comes in formulas for cats or dogs.

Easy One-Spot Topical Application

Frontline Plus is a spot-on solution that’s available without a prescription. 1 dose = 30 days of protection.

Protects Your Pet

  • Starts killing fleas and ticks fast and protects against reinfestation.
  • Waterproof for a full 30 days starting 24 hours after application.
  • Monthly dosing keeps your cat protected for every season.

How to Apply

Follow these simple steps for application:

  1. Hold upright with foil side toward you and snap applicator tip.
  2. Part hair and apply on shoulder blades, completely emptying the pipette.
  3. Leave the solution to spread through your pet's coat.

About Frontline Plus

To ensure your cat stays protected from fleas and ticks all year round, treat them monthly with Frontline Plus. This simple, easy, one-spot topical solution helps keep your pet free from infestations, providing you with peace of mind.

I've treated my 4 kittens 2mos. now, but I'm still seeing a lot of fleas and a TON of eggs. I'm talking, within 10 min of them laying on a black cloth, it's covered with eggs(looks like I dropped the salt shaker!) Will the eggs hatch? I'm contantly vacuuming but I'm still very concerned.

You also need to treat the environment with an environmental spray, wash all that can be washed in hot water, and keep up on the flea treatments. We've been told by our vet that most cats can be treated every 3 weeks for a bad infestation. Consult your vet before doing so though.

I gave my cat this thinking it would save me money. The next morning she was acting very lethargic and kept falling over everytime she stood up. It was very scary, she was letting out these sad, defeated meows and looked very scared. Turns out she had a bad reaction to frontline. I took her to the vet and ended up spending the same, if not more, than I would have if I just got medication properly prescribed. The scare I got from her being sick was awful. Anyways, the medication did get the job done. No fleas were left on my cat and I only gave her the first dose, there was no way I’d give her any more frontline after what went down. So in some cases, I assume one dose is enough, especially when paired with cleaning your home thoroughly. I really don’t recommend using this product.. I risked my cats life by ignoring similar warnings to my own, thinking that bad reactions must be rare.

I checked my order, and it said shipped. So I went to find my package. Nothing there. I asked all my neighbors. No one had it. So I track the package through FedEx. They took a picture of the delivery. So I text my landlord and ask if he has my package. No one has it. I try to text FedEx. Boy do they make it hard to talk to a real person. Then I notice that the photo isn’t even my mailbox area. As you can see for yourself above. I make a claim, and I’m the one getting the third degree. Having to prove my name, and address, the color of the location, if I was home at time of delivery, if it’s siding or brick, and how many stories. I about flipped out when I got this stupid email. I filled it out and they said they will contact me in two days. Meanwhile, my poor cats are being eaten alive by fleas. I hope Chewy looks into getting a better delivery company.

When i applied the product I noticed my cat seemed uncomfortable. I thought it was because he didn’t like the wet spot but about an hour or two later i noticed he was still trying to lick the spot and the hair had fallen out where the frontline was applied. I put it where he cant lick so it wasn’t from licking. Also ive had a cat get this stuff in their mouth and its not something you’d miss, they drool and foam at the mouth. Probably should have taken that as the a sign not to use it again.

I applied the repellent on Saturday, March 14, 2025. I noticed on Wednesday, March 25th, that Roxy was not eating. I thought she was finicky. I could not find her after that until mid-morning on Friday, the 27th. The first thing I did was try to feed her. She still would not eat. I then realized she was sick. I got her to the vet by 2 P.M., and her blood test showed she had Bobcat Fever from a tick bite. I placed my trust in the product, and now my cat is at the vet's office, he is trying to save her. This is terrible, and I hope she survives. Not only that, I know this is going to cost me hundreds of dollars, which I cannot really afford. Now I am afraid to ever use this again. I have one other cat that goes outdoors, and she so far is not affected. Thank goodness. However, I am stumped about which preventive care I should continue. I can only afford so much, and these cats are rescues that would not have had a home if I did not take them in. I am so saddened by this. Please pray Roxy makes it through.

I have given all my indoor cats this frontline spot treatment all summer after one of my cats got a tick somehow in June. He is 8 years old and has never had a flea or tick in his life. I haven’t seen any more ticks but yesterday I found a flea on my youngest cat. This, while being totally indoor cats and having frontline applied for 3 months straight. My vet told me to get Revolution so now I have to spend twice as much for treatment for all 7 cats. Lesson learned!

I will never use a different pet supplier for food and/or supplies. I’ve been with them for years. Anytime I’ve had an issue that I couldn’t seem to resolve online I only needed to make a phone call. Their res are attentive, respectful and knowledgeable. Also, they are my go-to at Christmas. Our family does notexcange gifts with adults - only kids and pets. They offer any kind of food imaginable and also have a large selection of toys and other supplies. I believe they also honor Rx spies. I have an auto order set up at regular deliveries which I can alter anytime. Shopped around occasionally, only to learn Chewy is the best to deal with! Highly recommend.

Defective Formula

I am canceling this auto ship and also will be requesting info for a return and refund for both the dog and cat frontline. Unfortunately frontline does not protect from fleas and ticks. Following my previous order and application of frontline, my dog suffered a skin allergy and needed the vet (2.5/3weeks after application of the frontline). The vet stated she had flees which was creating an allergic reaction. I shared I was using frontline and told the application date. The vet explained that Frontline’s formulation no longer works due to flees and ticks having built an immunity to it. She put her on a prescription based formula. I immediately brought my other dog and two cats in that same week and sure enough, they too had flees. The vet stated this is a known issue with Frontline’s formula for years. Adding that vets and Frontline are aware of this! I used frontline years ago with a pet that is now passed and I loved frontline so I was so shocked. Very disappointed in frontline because I truly thought frontline was a trusted company but for this to be a known issue and they continue to market and sell to pet owners is very deceptive! The vet put all my pets on a prescription based formula now that is working perfectly. I did not realize that I was signed up for a subscription to frontline until receiving the lasted package recently. So I not only want to cancel the auto ship but I would like a refund for the defective products as well. Though this is a Frontline issue and I love CHEWY, I am a bit taken back that CHEWY is allowing the sell of a known defective product and hope they look into what their stance should be with backing products on their site to customers.

I have used various flea/tick preventions over the last 15 years. I have only noticed a few acute reactions in some cats with Frontline, primarily from cats who have a known flea allergy. I apply the product on the nape of the neck spreading about an inch into the shoulder blade (this is a zone the cat cannot reach to groom and lick the product). In rare cases, I have seen hairloss at the site of application. More commonly, I have noticed some cats with active flea presence, will overgroom as the fleas become more active during their death and this leads to more hairballs and GI irritation. It is typically short lived (24-48 hours) and usually does not require a veterinary visit. Most of my cats have had zero negative reactions to Frontline Plus. And, the applied solution has a gentle smell compared to other brands that give off a strong rubbing alcohol smell. Overall, Frontline Plus is effective at killing live fleas and eggs. My cats are indoor only so I am unsure how effective it is on tick prevention.

I feel like I spend way too much money to get smashed, dented and holey items shipped to me. I don't know who's fault it is. But I'm getting sick of it. It's nice that when you call chewy about it they normally make it right but when you get replacements and they are smashed up, that's ridiculous... I love chewy for their prices but I guess you get what you pay for. But they need to take better care of your items you order. When we pay good money for stuff we should get better service then this...

This simply does not work. I am aware of the environment, and even put DE on the carpet, vacuum an not like I have fleas landing on me. it's not that bad BUT my fleas on my cats are laughing at this product. I can brush my one INSIDE ONLY cat with a flea comb after two applications and get 50 LIVE fleas. it's really not working at all, told my vet who said for me to go to his product after a few weeks go by for safety reasons. These fleas are immune to this product for sure and I truly wasted my money on this. I called the customer service line, told them, the woman was very nice to me, but honestly I am paying for a working flea medicine, not to be nice. I get the whole thing, takes time to work, environment, vacuum and such but never had such a poor product for fleas. I'd like my money back really, beyond disappointed in this and don't want to hear it might take a few months, these fleas are CLEARLY not bothered by this. before any suggests, "did you correctly apply to the skin and not the hair in full?" YES, I DID.
